Are you team Johnny or team Amber?
I'm pulling for Johnny.
shareShe hot af but crazy af so Johnny.
shareI'm team justice. Not team "actor who was in that thing I liked as a kid"
shareThis. I loved Johnny Depp's movies. But from a political standpoint I don't like/agree with him at all. But that doesn't mean he should be cancelled and blamed for things that happened while Amber gets away looking like an innocent victim when she's not. I couldn't care less if Johnny ends up never working again but I also need Amber to do the same or both get to continue on living their lives without cancellation. Truth, justice, and fairness over social justice.
shareWhat a concept lol
shareWho are these people?
shareIt appears both are shitty people, but Johnny was manipulated into becoming shitty. Amber was born shitty and loved every second of being shitty. I hope Johnny recovers, but learns from these mistakes.
shareI think both are completely toxic narcissistic celebrity assholes. That being said, I am Team Justice and therefore hope Johnny wins his case. Both hurt each other and yet it was Johnny, the man, who lost out on his movie roles; roles HE made famous and made companies like Disney a lot of money and success with. He was made guilty with no proof or chance to defend himself. Meanwhile Amber got away with it and kept her jobs and pretended to be a victim when she was just as psychotic in the relationship. That does not sit well wit me. Johnny was cancelled while SHE was not. And, for me, either they both get cancelled or neither of them do. Johnny needs to win this case and get vindication for his side of the events. People need to see this trial and learn it shouldn't be about 'believing all women' but instead should be about 'finding out and defending the truth.'
shareJohnny, 100 percent.
shareI can't say for certain that I know Depp did any sort of abuse to Heard. However, judging by how many drugs he did and some of the outbursts we've seen from him, I wouldn't put it past him. So it seems certainly possible that he could have hit her during any of their clearly heated and habitual arguments.
That being said, I do know for certain that Heard did some abuse to Depp (and partook in drugs and booze as well). She's admitted as much (albeit, claiming self-defense). We've also heard tapes of her mocking him, belittling him, and clearly instigating.
THAT being said, I hardly see Depp as a "victim". I doubt he spent a lot of nights cowering from his abuser or crying himself to sleep with his bros draping blankets over his shoulders and giving him coco.
And even if Depp DID hit her, I believe I'd have trouble considering her a "victim" either (at least in the typical sense). Aside from the fact that we know she was physical with him, as well, and the images of her alleged injuries looking about as extreme as some zits I've had, she seemed very far from scared of the man in all the recordings (often laughing at him and taunting him). And even if she were feeling that way, she's far from broke or dependent on him in any way and I don't believe there's evidence that he held his "power" over her career if she left. She, just like him, could've left this relationship at any moment and chose not to.
THAT being said (lol), Heard is the one who decided to capitalize on the Me Too movement by hopping into the limelight to grab one of those coveted victim statuses. Which, seeing as though I despise that movement and those who contribute to it, I do find particularly despicable.
So, I suppose I'm sorta team Depp, even though the abuse allegations (both ways) feel a bit boring and irrelevant to me. But even this is only in concern with the people rather than this trials details. For that, I'm kinda uncertain of what would constitute defamation, so I dunno.
I'm sickened by the cruelty that's been hurled at her in recent weeks and I'm an underdog supporter by nature. So I'm going with Amber. Plus, I think JD is slimy.
