Another point that makes great, good sense, prometheus1816. Without having seen "I, Tonya" (although I did see the trailer online.), I've come to the same conclusion that Kerrigan wasn't taken into consideration all, especially since she was the one who got injured. The fact that Tonya Harding escaped prison for her conspiracy to obstruct the investigation and prosecution of Jeff Gillooly and his henchmen (all of who did go to prison, btw.), and for an unprovoked assault on Darren Silver (a now ex-boyfriend of hers) with a hubcap, seriously injured him, and got a police warrant down on her head. Tonya lost her promising figure skating career due to those two acts of arrogance, lawlessness, and stupidity, and she brought on her own ruination.
Good points, prometheus1816. Argo was a fabrication based on a lot of hyperbole from the United States, plus, after seeing "The Town", I have refused to see any movie that starred Ben Affleck in it.

That's a good question. There are afew used record stores, but that's about it.
Frankly, I think that it's a combination of biological factors and cultural conditioning that is a cause of a bigger propensity towards criminality and violence in the world. The testosterone and androgen, coupled by cultural conditioning (More men are aggressive, and/or are sent out to fight wars than women.)

Speak for yourself, mikeflatley.
Here's my take on it:
A) The Jets, at least in part, were influenced a great deal by Action, who was always the instigator-troublemaker among the Jets.
B) Part of the Jets' behavior towards Anita was due to prejudice against her because she was Puerto Rican, and part of it was also due to the reaction to their situation, and an all-too-common need for a scapegoat, and Anita happened to be right within reach at the moment.
C) Nobody knows if the Sharks would do the same thing to one of the Jet girls in that same certain situation.
D) Had Ice stayed there instead of walking out, it's possible that he might've kept Action in check, like he'd done on numerous occasions before, but one never knows.
Oh, come on now, mikeflatley! I can say whatever I want on here...within reason, of course, and I'll continue to do so.
Chatrooms went out of vogue during the late 1990's/early to mid 2000's.
There was an awful lot of flaming going on a number of the boards on imdb.com, which may have had something to do with why they closed their messages boards in the first place. Had they gotten a moderator for their boards and kept him/her on, their message boards might still be up and running, today.
Is that a relatively new website, or has www.themoviedb.com been in existence for awhile? Just curious.
Who knows? If they keep on the way they're going, they may very well succeed in alienating everybody!!
Oooh, boy...that was NOT good! You're lucky that your friends just got escorted out, and that you were able to keep your job.
I was born in the early 1950's, was a 1950's child, and a 1960's teenager. As far as the 1960's are concerned, especially the mid to late 1960's, that particular decade was a mixed bag, for me. On the one hand, those were very exuberant times, with great music, and many wonderful movies. Lots of good stuff happened, much of it necessary, but there was a lot of bad stuff that happened, as well.
Thanks for your input, ShogunofYonkers.
Even though I'm a female and grew up at a time and an environment when and where fighting among girls and women, and having them learn to defend themselves if and when necessary was discouraged, I was aware that, back then, boys would punch boys, and not punch girls. Most kids, whoever they were, went to school every day, despite all that stuff.
I agree.
I agree, yawkee24. West Side Story is a great, golden oldie-but-keeper of a classic film that should be left alone. NOBODY, imho, should even think of re-making such a beautiful classic film.
Even if very young actors/actresses were cast, there's no way that the feeling and/or setting in West Side Story could be captured today. They'd still all be carrying and using guns, rather than switchblade knives or fisticuffs, to boot.
