Throughout both human history and moderneity, it IS indeed men who commit most act of violence and injustice in our world.
But even without explanations of greed and sociopathy, could it be in some or other ways related to them being generally just physically strong and not bound by certain constraints by nature?
Because the majority of them need to get laid. Sadly, since they don't have the communication skills necessary to endear themselves to the opposite sex, they take their pent-up frustrations out on others.
shareNot sure, but I think it's the testosterone. I have read a few studies which agree that the most violent, dangerous members of any society are young men between sixteen and thirty. That's when their testosterone is at its peak.
So who do we send to fight wars? Women in their fifties? No, young men who are at the height of their aggressiveness. When male aggression is properly channeled, it means that men will fight, protect, and defend their families. Men used to be the hunters. They used to defend their villages against outside forces.
Today there is hardly any need for hunting and fighting. Young men have to find some outlet for that aggression and often it is a negative outlet.
I also read about an interesting study once which refuted the popular, cultural notion of " In the spring a young man's fancy..." ( Alfred Tennyson ), by claiming that a man's testosterone actually peaks in the fall. That explains the popularity of the football season and also addresses your suggestion of a necessary " outlet. "

Castration experiments demonstrate that testosterone is necessary for violence...
For example: regardless of their gender, the most violent prisoners have higher levels of testosterone than their less violent peers.

It's millions of years of evolution and instinct. From the beginning it was the men who were the hunter gatherers, and thus had to go out and kill the food, and drag it back to the cave to be prepared and eaten.

Frankly, I think that it's a combination of biological factors and cultural conditioning that is a cause of a bigger propensity towards criminality and violence in the world. The testosterone and androgen, coupled by cultural conditioning (More men are aggressive, and/or are sent out to fight wars than women.)

shareIt may seem that men have a disproportionate number of encounters with law enforcement, incarcerations and life imprisonment sentences. It can look as though the justice system is slanted, that it propagates gender disparity.
But evidence suggests that men just commit more crimes. And why is that?
We all know what a man in a burglar costume looks like. Ever see a burglar costume for Women?
Not me. And so I'm really not surprised more men are behind bars while most Women have more fashion sense.
Women have abortions, so the vast majority of murderers are female, as they say one in three women have had an abortion. I see that as a very heinous act.
As for external acts of violence, such as rape, it seems like an animal instinct. Dogs jump on female dogs and more or less rape them, horses too, some men seem to have this acute instinct. A woman canât jump on a guy because if he isnât turned on by that, no procreation can take place.
As for acts of violence, women are less likely to let emotions build up, and they release their tension with words. Their weaker bodies mean they donât feel as comfortable punching someone.
Men donât use their words, and words said against them are âfighting wordsâ. They also think âyou canât say that to me because Iâm bigger than youâ whereas women are less likely to think of their size in a conflict.
I think these things are hardwired thinking. The solution would be to teach boys to be more open about their feelings and talk about their issues, and try to remove the stigma of being âemotionalâ as a guy.

is a bunch of baloney, Intothenight! The fact is that a baby is not a person until it's fully developed (i. e. at nine months), and then comes out of the womb. Some babies are born 3-5 weeks prematurely, for whatever reason, but that's a whole different matter. To say that abortion is murder sets a dangerous precedent. The crime rate overall would go up, the welfare rolls would increase, and there would be far great financial, physical and emotional hardships on the women and their families that are forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term.
mplo: whatever ramifications stopping abortion would have in society, it doesn't excuse the act for what it is. A baby in utero is human. No muddling of science will change that.
A baby in utero has a heartbeat, it has a nervous system, it has brainwaves, it feels pain, it has it's own unique DNA, and often even a different blood type than it's mother. That it's a separate entity is obvious by the fact that the baby *must* be contained in an embryonic sack to keep the mother's own defenses from killing it.
An abortion is the killing of the unborn baby. Science proves this conclusively.

This is reminiscent of a popular expression in my youth : " I'm a man with a heartbeat ! "
Iâve heard some say âit is human but is an intruder, a parasite, and therefore can be killed in self defence.â This is how some actually justify it.
Testosterone. It's responsible for aggression, among the many other more neutral or positive things it does. But aggression is one of them.
It's not that woman can't be aggressive too -- of course they can, and are. But testosterone by far is responsible for the way some men can be extremely, or regularly, or fatally, aggressive on a more consistent basis than women statistically.
