I avoid them.. If a place is riddled with ads, I won't use the site... I don't want my subconscious soul destroyed with technology, lol.
Mort Sahl is my hero (live or dead),,,,,, but,,,,,, no one seems to know the Godfather of Stand-Up Comedy (and still the best), so I had to revert to Bill Hicks, who comes closest to Mort Sahl.
I actually like "Ace In The Hole" more :)
I was talking about humor.
Because the standards are so low..... If people saw Mort Sahl, or even Bill Hicks, they might enjoy comedy more. George Carlin, too... Dick Gregory, who just left us.
Bill Burr is pretty good. He's not TOTALLY feminized yet.
Watch movies from the 1930s-70s
If people can't take WORDS online, how will they ever live in the real world?
Robert Altman was a fan of Leonard Cohen, and used his first album in the movie "McCabe and Mrs. Miller"
"The Hospital" is pretty funny, with George C. Scott, but more nuanced.
Any reason/s you think why?
that's what many say
It is subjective, of course, but I'm talking on a mass scale.... For example, how does technology affect this? I think it makes things a bit more conformist, since whatever is "TRENDING" is viewed, which is the exact definition of "Conformist" as opposed to people giving many things a chance.
Great movie! I'm glad you mentioned this instead of "BreathLESS" :)
12 Angry Men
what would you say?
I love the classics, but that movie is very boring.... You could have taken out an hour out, and not changed a thing.. I really didn't need to watch the camels walk ALL across the desert, we got the point, edit with a cut!
I could say the same thing about Lean's other movies like Dr. Zhivago, even The Bridge on River Kwai, but I liked the less grandiose "Brief Encounter" and "Ryan's Daughter"
I was going to say "The Usual Suspects" but thought that might be a spoiler :)
Of course... I was born in 1982.. I remember activities developing organically. We DID things, we invented things to do, we played sports, played musical instruments, went for long walks, swam, we did a lot...
No distractions like the phone, etc., led to something getting done.
Harry and Tonto
