Movie and Music Relationships

I guess you can add stand-up comedy, since the saying has always been how "every musician wants to be a stand-up comedian, and vice-versa"...

I was thinking of directors making music documentaries, as well as stories of personal experience; like Martin Scorsese living with Robbie Robertson, around the making of The Last Waltz, getting hooked on cocaine, having De Niro "get him out" of the situation...

Musicians who love certain directors, or at least play music for a soundtrack like Pink Floyd did in their early days, for guys like Antonioni, Babet Schroeder.

Bernard Herrmann composed much of the music in Alfred Hitchcock's films. Who can forget the screaming violins in Psycho? He did much much more! He was a great composer.

Robert Altman was a fan of Leonard Cohen, and used his first album in the movie "McCabe and Mrs. Miller"
