Are they being revived or something?
Intrigued by certain cinematic characters and in rarer unusual examples an IDEA - but NOT stating that in REAL LIFE I will be in any way indifferent or anything of that "nature" towards it not least due to law, and also morality AND how life works - I've been IMPLYING that on certain FILM discussions too so don't worry world. :) (Sorry I couldn't add a smiley here, not on phone.)
Plus, I really, REALLY didn't want people to think that I was actually sympathizing or "emphasizing" like that with anyone who was guilty of a wrong doing even if I wondered if at least on some occasion they really deserve like to be totally hated and whatnot, and "empathy" in that instance just sounded like a word that if I was to openly use there, it wouldn't be met with an understanding and people would judge ME for it - latter of which I am particularly mindful and fearful (well...) of these days so I simply wondered if there's another term for such things but maybe there isn't and if not, I did say well OK.
Actually, I don't think I said it was wrong but I was just saying I am not sure if it really was it, I thought it might've been something other than "empathy" that's all.
I hope Salt N Pepa gets through it alright and maybe if it feels this much, then all I could advise for them is to cancel that gig. :)
I'll be fine my son, don't worry.
P.S. MOST of those "issues" I talked about over here for years some people already know, including some scenes from movies and me questioning people's reactions over them, and no, don't mean obvious stuff like "A Serbian Film" or "Salo" and the lot, and no offense but in THEM I often merely wanted closure but it wasn't just about "is it right or wrong" etc, it was a bit more complicated. Paradoxically, I at times at first was even "happy" or SATISFIED to discuss them as well as state that "Even IF it happened in that sense, I would feel bad and down" etc, and not to undermine law or existent reality either - but no offense. I even compared murder here and sometimes joked but in a very zany and silly way haha not being wanting to be any type of killer myself and CERTAINLY of no one "innocent". But that's alright as well.
Yours faithfully, Alexander, the nearly 38 year old Russian/English white male. Living in UK. :)
"You need counselling dude"
But I DESIRE indulgence, friendly communications and explanations, encouragements that I have nothing to worry about, a permission to at least OCCASIONALLY be in charge, express surprise shock value at say certain moments from movies rather than EXCLUSIVE moral typical outrage even if I am not entirely against it (but let's have boundaries please) among other stuff.
And above all, for our life to make perfect sense and sort itself out into nice convenient little pieces.
Also, yeah, but, what is your opinion on her music, thanks.
Don't worry folks, its alright, just encourage me in a friendly way please not to think about it all too much and not to "question" stuff or even demand, no strike that, ASK POLITELY of anyone to INDULGE me for any reason including for example asking for simple answers to complex questions or even realizing that SOME issues in life, no matter WHO does it or "what we think of any particular instances" and what stigma is attached to it all as well as what I have been told in childhood but demanded I don't question it (and yet it haunted me some 20 plus years later), are serious social issues and yes with law first and foremost attached to it, as much as I often didn't mind that and sorry if 8 years ago on film boards I engaged in pseudo talk or expressions of surprise shock value whilst other folks were just being blunt and direct in their thoughts.
But that's just me and not to worry either.
P.S. Stereotypes may or may NOT be allowed OR encouraged, but the question is - will they ever simply DISAPPEAR like that?
Its OK not to worry, just that life in general isn't always as it seems and that mentally we become a little stressed at trying to figure it out and we try in the process not to be too mad and angry and if its alright with others.
"Then when people respond, you tell them why they are wrong"
No, not always, I don't tell them they're wrong for the most part, but sometimes it could be misunderstood, and its not really that huge a deal for me personally but at the same time on rare occasions I can't help but give it a thought and be emotionally affected by it all.
Not to worry, and I understand all that provocative stuff as well, hope everything's cool and alright.
Is "A Serbian Film" really that offensive to you and in general and do you believe its creators and especially the director should REALLY be behind bars and whatnot?
"She's a criminal!"
Did that, even if 100% true, in any way stop say people appreciating her music who are fans or her close friends and relatives from thinking positive of her overall?
She was actually inspired by Depeche Mode and her childhood favourite song by them was the 1990's super hit single "Enjoy the Silence", off the "Violator" (1990) album.
And interestingly also, she was also inspired by the Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti, but her overall musical reputation seems to be better than that of him.
P.S. And what do we think about that internet argument from 20 years ago, was either Gina or that male user fan of Shakira in the right? (Also, Gina conflated finding Britney Spears and Shakira attractive with being fans of their music but also thought both activities were shallow etc.)
No worries but I am sure you are probably familiar with her singles at least if not her pre 2001 "Laundry Service"-era material, which is surprisingly rated well compared to her post 2002 efforts.
But even if its true, we can still discuss and if need be appreciate her music, right?
Really? In what way????
P.S. They recently arrested a Russian female singer who I believe is now in her early 70s Larisa Dolina, but I have no idea yet as to why - wouldn't be surprised if its something to do with the Ukraine and Russian armed conflict but can't tell yet.
Haha, its a film Moonglum, any of you seen Deadly Pursuits (1996), its on YouTube? Also SPOILER - watch out for how she confronts that mobster at the end.
