We would have to see how the sados posting there looked themselves, hey? One thing I hated about the IMDB GoT board was how sexist it was. Hopefully, things won't get that bad here because it's really pathetic to have a bunch of flabby losers criticising females actresses on their looks, 'wah, she's gotten real old', wah, she's put on weight', 'wah why doesn't she show us her tits?'. Real puerile loser stuff. She's not a male. She has done no 'fighting'. She has servants to do everything. She goes from horse to dragon, doesn't need to walk at all. And don't forget she had a child too. If she was a Method Actor, she would have been 2 sizes bigger than what she is now. Wow, the premise of Impact sounds interesting. I'll have to check the film out. I do love my film noir' and general 'oldies'. Some of my favourites are "The Woman in the Window" (EGR), "Scarlet Street" (EGR), "The Roaring Twenties" (EGR and James Cagney), "Double Indemnity", "Of Human Bondage" (Leslie Howard, Bette Davis), plus 'mystery' type films, like '"Rebecca", "Portrait of Jennie" (Joseph Cotton and Jennifer Jones), "The Night has Eyes" (James Mason) and "The Spiral Staircase". I always thought Casablanca was a tad boring, but I admit it's also slowly growing on me. Yeah I too wasn't a big fan of Casablanca, mainly because I'm not a big Ingmar Bergman fan. I do appreciate the film more now though. True, true. Hopefully he get's killed off early. Ha! For sure, he left her in order to protect her. Unfortunately, I have a feeling she might commit suicide. Yes, thank God for Fassbender. And I hope Noomi Rapace shows up early on in the film too. Although I'm starting to think she'll show up towards the end of it, of course holding the other Fassbender (well his head anyway). Could there be 2 Fassbenders in Covenant? I'm starting to think so. That's not obese. As you grow older, it's easier to put on weight, and her lack of height doesn't help either. The shorter you are, every pound of weight you put on makes you look much fatter than a tall person putting on the same amount of weight. It has only been this half century that people expect their Royals to be 'slim and trim'. For centuries, in all civilisations, being portly equated to health and wealth. I mean, they thought Empress Sissi of Austria was crazy because she was a fitness fanatic that was obsessed with being slim. Now you look at the new Royals, and they are all slim and fit. But if they would have looked like that just two hundred years ago, people would have thought they were and ill and not well money-wise. So I say if Emilia Clark really wanted to go full Method acting as Daenerys.....she should pile on the weight! Seriously...😊 I have to say I wasn't impressed with La La Land. Haven't seen Lion yet. I would give Moonlight 8/10 Manchester by Sea 8/10 Hacksaw Bridge 8/10 Hell or High Water 8/10 Silence 7/10 La La Land 6/10 (not a 'classic' by any means, The Artist was 100 times better) When they pour a cup of coffee or tea and sit down and you can clearly see the cup is empty, and then they pretend to drink from it. This. I liked it! If you like dramas set in 'the hood', go for it. I think it's a bit overrated, but it's still a fine film. Manchester by the Sea is also a good slow drama. I really enjoyed it. I haven't seen Fences yet, so I don't have an opinion on it. There are other Academy Award best film contenders that are quite good too, and a bit more faster paced, like Hacksaw Ridge and Hell or High Water. These two were both great films. Well I actually LOVED Prometheus. There were no faults in that film imo. First time I saw it, I admit I thought it was so so, but then I saw it again and that's when I really 'got it' and appreciated what a great film it was and what a great pre-prequel to Alien. I also really liked the actors involved, which helped: Fassbender, Rapace and Theron. I am glad the trailer for Alien: Covenant isn't very good though, because that means they are not giving the plot away. Hopefully there will be a few surprises in store. I didn't like the prologue, but I won't judge the movie on that. Didn't like the trailer either. I guess I was surprised to see James Franco is in the film, as I don't really like him. He just doesn't 'suit' an Alien film imo. Thanks! BTW I agree with you on what you said about Naomie Harris and Viola. Both wonderful actresses who deserve more recognition, especially Viola. Yes, that seems to be the only logical explanation. Maleficent, that's strange because I was a 10 year member and never gave them my phone number or credit card to post. I know that a few years ago, new members had to, but I never did and posted all the time using the imdb sign in. They did have my email address, but even that wasn't my real email address but one I had set up for imdb. Thanks guys. 😎👍😜 Great, I tested it and it works. How do you get the emoticons though? Where are they? Chiron being single made perfect sense to me. He did not like women AT ALL. Not in a sexual way. So how could he be with a guy if what we saw is Chiron getting his ass kicked throughout his childhood, being called a 'faggot', and then when he is a teenager and he finally finds someone who seems to be like him....only to get his arse kicked again, but this time in a brutal way?....Well, it's quite obvious that to survive he would have to hide away the real Chiron and just become 'Black', a tough black dude, a drug dealer/pusher, someone who people would be scared to mess with. Moving to Atlanta gave him that opportunity to have that new identity, even though he was not really being himself, because the real Chiron was a 'softie', a boy who craved love and a 'normal life'. Ten years later, Kevin gets in contact with him and says 'sorry'. His mother also said 'sorry'. The film ending with Chiron on Kevin's shoulder, and then with the child Chiron, 'Little', under the moonlight looking back at us, the viewers, means that 'Black' is now dead, and he can start again.....he has found hope again, has got in touch with his real self again and he can let love in again. Maybe Kevin, maybe a new guy. No doubt Chiron will stop being a pusher and he will swim under the moonlight once more.
