Even though as you say it was 'unsatisfactory', I did enjoy watching it, somewhat.
Terrible casting though, the kid should be much younger, and the Judge taller and more imposing. And what's up with the terrible lighting and shaky camera?
Mateo Gil (Blackthorn), John Hillcoat (The Proposition), the Coen Bros (True Grit, No Country for Old Men) or even someone like Tommy Lee Jones (The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada) would be a better choice for director imo. Anyone but Franco.
Sure he's a good actor but there's something about him I don't like. I guess I just wasn't expecting him to be in an Alien film.
Yep. I hope with time more of us come here.
Yes he was okay in Rose of the Planet of the Apes, but I think anyone would have been to be honest.
Yes Gyllenhaal was great in Prisoners, but "Brokeback Mountain" put him on the map for me.
I agree that Ben Foster is terrific in "Hell or High Water". He' s been great in so many roles. Did you see "360", with Anthony Hopkins? My favourite story was the one with Ben Foster.
Yeah I'm looking forward to "Life" too. What's not to look forward to...a sci fi with Ben Foster. 👌
I'll try to check out 127 hours this weekend. Let's see ho it goes.
BTW, Angelina Jolie is also one of 'those' for me too. Actually, the list is too long to write down here....lol.
Yes some of it was dark humour, I agree, but some of it wasn't, because you checked the history of the posters and they were like that on every board. They were just misogynists imo. Not all of them, but some of them.
Haven't got time to see all the popular series, so I have to be picky. In my series 'to see' list are:
Deadwood
Cleverman
Happy Valley
The Missing (Season 2)
The Path (Season 2)
To be honest, I didn't think it was anything special. I would say it was just 'so so'.
😁😁😁👏
Is the Man in the High Castle any good then?
She didn't kill anyone, so no, she didn't deserve it.
Master_lo, I didn't mean your post was sexist, rather that many posts in the old IMDB GoT board WERE. And blatantly so.
Didn't see it. I've seen scenes in youtube, and he does seem good though. BTW I saw Milk because of Sean Penn, and was surprised to like Franco in that role. I think he's a fine actor, I just don't like 'him'. You know how there's some actors who you don't get excited about when you hear he/she is in a new film? Well James Franco falls in that category for me. They are neither here nor there. I would watch the film 'in spite' of him but he's not 'enough' for me to see a film. Other actors, just them being in it is good enough excuse to see the film. For example, Jake Gyllenhaal. I like most of his films, maybe because he chooses his roles carefully. I also like most films with Ben Foster, Paul Dano, Elisabeth Moss and Brit Marling. But let's not digress. 😎
I liked him in Milk, but not so much in other roles.
Yes go for it. You can binge watch the whole season. It's really intriguing.
Well I can't remember exactly, but I think she was diagnosed with post-traumatic disorder or schizophrenia or something like that, or both, after she was adopted.
I don't believe that she is, but that's kind of put there for those who do not believe in parallel worlds etc. I'm quite open minded, so think anything is possible so I guess I'm a 'believer'. lol.
Can't wait for Season 2. I'm a big Brit Marlin fan. Love everything she has produced and starred in so far.
Yes, I guess they just want to make it ambivalent. There's enough there for those who think it's real to believe it is, and the other way around too.
But it would be silly to make a whole series about a manipulator. Considering the makers past films, I'm going for the premise that it all actually did happen, but that it is all unprovable. I think the makers said that there is an element of Faith that comes into practice in the film....you have to 'believe' for it to be so. And that's what the 'group' do in the end, they' believe' and so it 'is'. Remember we are talking about different dimensions here, nothing tangible and provable.
I think the FBI agent planted those books btw.
I agree, at the most it's a 6 or 7. And that's being generous.
..and a man full of tattoos would never have been let inside a society ball.
