Solid Alien entry let down by woke and misguided fan-service

Not sure what you're on about with the pro-immigration and racial stuff. I guess it's impossible to cast more than a few non-whites without the right labeling it as woke? There was basically zero political bias in this film.

But I agree that the references were the weakest part of the film. I was loving it until they forced in the ‘get away from her you bitch!’ line; that one moment tanked the film for a solid minute or two. I was pissed. Like, yes, we get it, we've seen Aliens, we get it! Additionally, they used Ian Holm robot WAY too often; he's practically a main character by the end, and he should've been used for maybe one brief scene.

Say what you want about Ridley’s prequels, they at least allow for some invention in a franchise whose main beast has been done to death.

The trick with the way-too-wonky CGI used on the Rook (i.e. Ash duplicate) robot is that, as soon as this comes out on video, deepfake artists will easily be able to do a MUCH better job with it. You can see how well they have done making better versions of Tarkin from "Rogue One," Luke from "The Mandalorian," etc.

To me, the film commits perhaps the greatest sin a movie can commit: It is boring. As the movie droned on in the first and second acts, I kept asking myself, "Why is this film so DULL? Why am I bored during an Alien movie?" A film can have many faults, but still be entertaining. This film, rather, is great on a technical level but fails on the script level. The story is simply not interesting.

You said that it's better than Resurrection and the AvP films. I actually think that Resurrection is an under-appreciated entry in the franchise and is a much more interesting film than A:R is. And furthermore, I find the first AvP movie to be an entertaining popcorn film, even if it's disappointing as the film that finally brings the aliens and predators together in a single movie. I would agree, though, that Romulus is better than Requiem.

Space movies about humans colonizing other planets is about as Pro-Illegal Immigration as one can get. Just because your white ass thinks that all illegal aliens are ONLY POC doesn't change that.
