The future is female?

It is a LOT less woke and preachy than the other 2 turds (no, not an Amber reference)

The predominantly female cast was definitely woke but i didn't feel it was too preachy or heavy handed. Not like Discovery which was unwatchable Or Picard which felt very preachy in season 2. So far i'm enjoying it. The stand alone episodes and tone of the show feel more like classic trek.

It was far from preachy and, for myself, I would not even say it was woke. For me woke, in reference to gender, means that it has to bring attention to the idea that women are treated worse than men or that it is more difficult to be a woman than to be a man.

I have watched the first three episodes and none of them do this. There has yet to be a line where a woman says something like "You don't think I can do this because I am a woman" or a male character comes off as overtly sexist.

Gender has yet to be a part of this show. Unlike say "The Orville" where they had a culture, the Moclans, that forced a male to female gender transition to all females. The Moclans, believed women were physically and mentally incapable of fully participating in the species' warrior culture.
Long story short a female officer on the Orville who grew up on a planet with stronger gravity than most planets (so she was stronger than most people) was used as an example of a female who was strong. I felt this was 100% woke as it was bad writing because it was used to show that women are physically strong but her strength came not from her being a female but from the gravity difference.
The Moclans were written in such a way that it was clear that they were a stereotypical representation of men who think women are worthless. While I agree that these types exist making the me the obvious villain in a show is not going to change their minds. It is not like they still have that attitude after seeing women be successful in SO many things but a TV show where that type of thinking is proven incorrect using exaggerated methods is going to change their minds.

No, this is not at all "woke" as you claim because that is not what woke means. I'm a liberal Democrat and even I too find things "woke" sometimes. Because this is what is woke -

when things are not subtle but shoved in your face and then smeared all over your face so you "get it" which the writer/director/others think otherwise you won't understand or don't get. Why? Because they're stupid and idiotic and just because they are of low IQ, they think everyone needs it explained like this. Who are such people? People like Donald Trump and many other idiots of such low IQ that they need to state the obvious thinking it just hit them so everyone needs spoon feeding like that.

e,g, Supergirl, Batwoman with dialogs like "a suit is perfect only when it fits a woman" etc. In such shows, men are neutered to the point of being useless and explicitly stated and shown that way followed by explicit dialogs that repeat it and then more dialogs that state it again, genders that are changed or skin colors and then instead of just being subtle and showing such things are not relevant, major statements are made about the skin color so you "get it" as to why and then more things are done and shown explicitly like you're an imbecile. Women are not shown equal but overpowered and it is stated repeatedly that they are strong women and others are not. This is a swing of the pendulum to the other direction where 5'4" 110lb women can thrash a swarm of 6'2" 220lb men easily because she is "strong". Instead of relying on what they might be good at such as brain skill and strategy to compensate for physical weakness to take the opponent out, they resort to impossible physical strength feat in a show of "strength" because otherwise the woman is "weak". Nevermind that even weaker men can be thrashed by stronger women but no, they purposely take physically weak women and choreograph them to thrash strong men thus neutering the whole setup and men just to shove a physically strong woman in your face. Then women try this in real life and get beaten up badly.

ST:SNW is not woke. In such shows, you CAN have more women than men and it is no issue because there is 0 reference to their being women leading to any advantage or disadvantage. They just simply do the job and show subtly that they are qualified and capable and it is all about the work and working together and not that a single lone hero always rescues the team and it happens to be a woman or diff skin color etc. like in ST:D or ST:P.

ST:SNW is very neutral and well made because it truly shows subtly that you can be anyone and if you do the job well, then you're good for that part. That truly is progress.

I don't mind a crew of females as long as I am the only male. Hell, I rather they have large breasts to go along with it so I can work properly.

I work with mostly women. Which is odd as hell considering it's a warehousing job. Basically you can't talk about anything. You just learn to keep your mouth shut. Future probably is female. I don't care. Men are a barbarian only race for the most part. We'll be important again one day. A couple world wars to go, another dark age, and then we'll be off fighting four legged rage apes on alien worlds.

I tell ya. If it's anything other than white/male, some idiot-ass is complaining.
