I always found it curious that Conan was the last slave to the wheel. No other replacements in all this time? No new kids? It suggests to me that Doom's empire was in decline already.
Well once upon a time, Arnold was just some asshole and this was just some movie and the studio was trying to make more money. Nobody was trying to create legendary art.
Well you're blowing my mind here. I always just superficially saw him as over the top movie villain. But yeah. What was he doing? The parallels to Jim Jones have always been super obvious. A mass death event is probably what he had in mind. He'd probably resurrect again after a cocoon slumber and start all over. He might have even needed to harvest the souls of his followers for his magic spell.
It's awesome to see Thulsa Doom's power beguile Conan's mother, make her lower her sword arm. He did that same shit to Conan years later and he snapped that enchantment and chopped that dude's head off. So long snake god! I know all your dumb tricks.
It was sad watching him go out. He went out like a man though. Even when the dogs were eating him alive he didn't cry like a bitch.
I just threw up in my mouth. (nut busting. ur cool.)
I only watch movies with attractive young Jews.
Yes, i've thought of that. But i'm not really a sane person that keep schedules.
I ended up watching Bladerunner 3 times. It's definitely front loaded. The back half drags. It could have have cut 30 minutes and still delivered. That flat performance of Gosling is perfect, but also leaves the viewer a little disengaged. I just can't care about this robot. The twist is good, but it was so in the box, you can't enjoy the moments when they're happening. It's a flawed film. But I love the ideas, aesthetic and execution and ideals so much, it's a pass.
Didn't realize this was the same guy doing the new Dune flicks. This is how dude makes movies. He's alright.
Watching Bladerunner 2049 again right now. Gawd I love this movie. I think it's made for lonely incels.
Had an interesting experience with the crow this time. That's why I watched it twice. I never really loved the end before. 3/4s gothic masterpiece. Then this bizarre Lethal Weapon style buddy cop action ending. But this time, and maybe it's being almost 50 IDK, it really connected with me. I finally felt what I was supposed to be feeling. It was a real rush and I wanted to relive it immediately before I lost the fever. Cause I do that. I kind of blow my nut with a fandom. I get all worked up and love it so hard, and after. I just forget why I ever cared at all.
100 percent. And the success of the experiment has led to a great many more celebs being replaced since. People will believe whatever you tell them.
