Which movie released in the past, in your opinion would be unacceptable/banned today?

Blue Lagoon comes to the mind as Brooke Shields was like 15 years old in the movie. Could you think of any other movies?

American Pie?

Blazing saddles would never see the light of day if it were made today.

100% agreed👍

And that’s a shame because it’s one of the funniest comedies of all time!

reply

Not really. There's no young fans of Mel Brooks out there to keep his style of "comedy" from fading away.

+1

Your probably right , but why exactly ?

Because the bad guys use the N word?
Theyre bad guys!

Apart from that its a lovely story about how the good townsfolk come to love and accept and respect their new multicultural diverse citizens

The People of Stupid don’t understand nuance.

Feigning ‘offense’ is a way these media dorks use to appear ‘enlightened.’

It’s all very stupid. They don’t control what I love.

reply

Oh, pretty much anything that didn't have any gay people, or black (race-swapped) leads, or Girl Bosses. Anything that poked fun at leftism or actually had good actors wouldn't be made today either.

reply

😂

Bachelor Party (1984), with Tom Hanks as the film's lead. Regardless of the comedy, it seems like it was made during a completely different generation. It's zany and balls-to-the-wall.

I can’t see how Tropic Thunder or Something About Mary get made today

reply

Rush Hour
Mrs Doubtfire

Ok, they aren't unacceptable. They're still funny as hell. But, they would never be made today.

reply

French Connection.

reply

I agree, showing a cop shooting a criminal in the back probably not be allowed today.

reply

Probably Taxi Driver.
