At least we know now for certain that the entire party is nothing more than a bunch of spoiled, stupid, childish, lying nutjobs that can't handle reality anymore, and really don't like it when someone steps in to do the right thing. If it makes you feel better, I chose not to watch this movie either, or read the book. I was a fan of Anne Hathaway back then, and couldn't bear the idea of her being abused the way Andi was in the story. I did, however, read up on the story plotline for both the movie and book, and frankly, it sounded even worse than I thought, so it seems I didn't miss anything. To be fair, the only part of the fashion world that's fun anyway is looking at the outfits on the runway. Other than that, it's a nasty, cutthroat world that is vaguely similar to Hollyweird. I heard that Mexicans are pissed about this movie, and when I heard about some of the nonsense in it, I could see why. Makes me wonder what the movie makers were smoking, because it must have been some really good granola for them to come up with this messed up dumpster fire of a movie. But what pisses everyone off the most, is the idea that a drug cartel kingpin that was a mass murderer and a monster, gets absolved because he got a sex change. A man cutting his dick off, getting a boob job, growing his hair out, and taking hormones, and a new identity, does not absolve him of the crimes of his past. All it does is reveal that he 1000% is nuttier than the other drug kingpins. And don't even get me started on the messed up musical aspect of the film. This is pretty much just another example of Truman's phrase, "You can’t get rich in politics unless you’re a crook." It gets even worse than that! https://i0.wp.com/therightscoop.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/musk_socialsecurity.jpg?w=640&ssl=1 Source: https://defconnews.com/2025/02/18/unreal-elon-musk-reveals-how-many-dead-people-are-getting-social-security/ Can you believe there are 22 million people (maybe even more that aren't registered on the database) collecting checks from people who died even further back than 200 years ago?! How the hell does that work?! Social Security wasn't even invented until the 1930s! Elon made a vampire joke online about it. Fun fact: The woman who lived the longest in history lived to 122 years old, while the oldest man in history lived to be 116, according to verified records. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_verified_oldest_people Oh God, not those books! I'm so glad they canceled the series if that's the case. I was so angry about the way the first book "A Court of Thorns and Roses" was written, and the direction the series took. It barely even registered as a "Beauty and the Beast" adaptation, and was really bloody and gory for a "Fae" book series. It makes more sense in the novel, from what I've heard. But frankly, I never liked "Wicked," and never included it on my list of Oz stories to read. The transformation was even dumber and more cliche in "Oz the Great and Powerful." When you have the media crushed under your boot, the military at your beck and call, and the citizens of your country fear you, it's really hard for anyone to cancel you. No, because they kinda gave that away in the advertisements. I was actually more surprised during my first viewing when Padmé revealed herself to be Queen Amidala in disguise, and that she had been switching places with one of her handmaidens several times in the movie. I know! I heard that story years ago, how the real guy entered himself in a look-a-like contest, just for laughs, and didn't even make it to the final cut! Talk about life's ironies.
