How much do you hate doctors?
I went to the doctor today, and it was like a western standoff.
Did you do what I told you to do?
yes, half of it.
Why only half, cause that's what I wanted to do.

I haven't been to one in almost a decade. I don't like them, or the system. And I don't want to waste anyone's time, because like you, I'm going to do what I want to do with my body.
shareHere's something I just realized. You can get a blood test without a doctor. The lab does all the work and they mark everything bad in red. If you want to know your cholesterol etc...
shareI often say I hate Doctors because they always have bad news, ‘something’s wrong with you, take these pills or you’ll regret it, stop drinking and having fun, etc…’
It’s a real downer talking to a Doctor or a Nurse.
But in reality attaining a medical degree and operating a practice or handling a clinic job that aids the community on health matters many of us don’t really understand is pretty impressive!
The Medical Pros are pretty amazing really, I just hate bad news.
I do admire Doctors and Nurses.
I kind of wish he'd said, try some diet stuff first. Which by the way worked, since I ignored his pills. I like him fine, but its just funny the two of us in a quiet standoff. Is there anything else you'd like to talk about? Nope. That was our 15 minutes.
share"...15 minutes..."
I'm lucky if my follow up check-ups (after double cataract surgery in Jan.) are that long after 1.5-3 tedious hours in the waiting room. I think the longest was 5 minutes. I've got another one coming up next week and I made up my mind to cancel long ago. Granted, he's a nice guy and highly regarded opthamologist, but at this point I feel like I'm just being milked for more insurance money.
Doctors suck....You have to realize at some point your spending you life for them. I've heard several people talk about this lately. My blood pressure is high so I'm going to listen to him. I could say anything to this guy and he'd give me drugs for it.
shareI’m no authority but I stay away from the pills except for an over the counter allergy tablet, which hardly works anyway.
The opioid pills can really mess you up. I busted up my knee and needed a minor knee operation and was prescribed a canoe full of Oxy to handle the pain. That is a horrible drug!
I grew up with two guys that got lost in that stuff and they are now dead. Long dead.
I bailed on that chemical garbage and just drank rum for the pain.
Good for you for continuing your workouts, I quit on all of that but I really should get back to it!
Good for you T👍

I’m no scientist but that sounds like a large improvement.
Keep it up, you are kicking ass.
He's definitely a perscribe doctor. I feel like I could say anything and he'd give me the meds. What should I ask for?:) ADD thats the motherlode of meds.
shareDon't feel too bad. I'm on insulin, blood pressure pills, cholesterol pills, acid reflux pills, and neuropathy pills.
Signed, million man.
I’d honestly advise you to stay off the pills. I know this is just internet banter but you seem like a sweet person and it’s just friendly advice.
Avoid that junk they try to get us all addicted to.
My knee knee surgery was hurting me but those Oxy’s put me on Pluto…I really didn’t like that feeling at all. That chemical dope puts you out for hours at a time, NO thanks.
And keep up your workouts, that’s admirable!

Believe me, VA (Veteran's Administration) doctors are worse than civilian ones. My dad was a Vet, used to make regular 2 hour trips to the nearest VA hospital after he retired. They would just send him home with more meds. When he went into decline to death, the first thing the family doctor did was to discontinue all those but by then, it was too late. When I saw what he was taking on a daily basis, I became nauseated. They poisoned him. He was only able to enjoy roughly 6 years of his retirement.
I hate big pharma. The strongest drugs in my house are generic aspirin, acetaminophen and allergy pills.
Medical cannabis doctors are the best!
shareAn interesting take. I didn't have the best experience with it 20 years ago, but maybe today. I think they need to do more advertising, letting people know the benefits.
shareMy doctors are fine. The receptionists on the other hand are ridiculously incompetent.
shareI don't usually have an issue with doctors unless they're arrogant assholes or incompetent. I particularly dislike doctors that disappear the moment you need them, and are suddenly on vacation to another country when you're sick and need help, and are forced to get help from a measly, overworked ER doctor instead. The worst absent doctors are the ones who use two layers of communication for you to get anywhere with them, including e-mails, phone robots, and secretaries. It often takes two days to get anything exchanged between you and such doctors, at minimum!
shareI wouldn't slow down if I ran one over. Doctors are the worst. All they are is the pusher for the drug industry. Destroying mind, body and soul.
shareThey're alright. But it has been proven in a study that if someone - most favourably a lobbyist or shyster - buys them a $20 worth dinner, their opinion about a new drug or treatment can be bent to your will.
