Scorching hot in Terrifer 3 Always seemed to play tightly-wound guys Much better than the first, falls short of the second Enjoyable Much better than its reputation Pretty entertaining What was the reason View all posts >

It's been claimed that Grant was gay, or bisexual. Or maybe you're thinking of Rock Hudson. I've never heard anything. I believe he attended O'Rourke's funeral. Don't know about Dunne's. I like Close Encounters..., but Jaws by a mile. 🤣 Supposedly. The twist lets it down. Up till that point I'd say it's the best vampire horror of its time. Photography, lighting, sound/music, performances, all top-notch. I still give it a 7.5/10, but the damn thing could have been a 9! ' Despite it being a remake, it gives the impression that it's an ending that was tacked on as an afterthought, even though it wasn't due to 'London After Midnight'.' It's as though they set out to make a vampire horror. Then realised that it was too creepy, atmospheric, unsettling, maybe even frightening (for the time), lost their nerve and did a hasty rewrite on the ending. You could be right. It's an effective scene. Is this the first film where we see the vampire run towards the camera/victim's POV? It was about 35 years before Count Yorga, Blacula, and (I think) The Night Stalker did it. 'The mind boggles at what one of their more complex plans would entail.' 😆 'How about "Our vampire plan was so simple..." spoken by the inspector near the end. Simple??? One of the most convoluted plots ever!' That was the one that had me laughing out loud too! 😆 View all replies >
