Can anyone provide a single shred of strong evidence for
their god? there is so many angles people can take it'd be best to provide one single point and argument. I normally get "but look at the trees". I need something better than that
shareI was raised Catholic but walked away from it a long time ago, now consider myself agnostic. Maybe due to hearing stories of a pleasant afterlife growing up, part of me wants to believe there's something after we die. There's no proof for or against because no one who has truly died (not "died" then got resuscitated claiming they saw all kinds of heavenly shit) has ever reported what they've seen in death. Can't rule it in, can't rule it out and I take some comfort in that.
shareI was never baptized but went to catholic school. we were taught all the nice stuff, kinda skimmed over all the bad genocidal stuff. I mean we did learn "Noah and his family were saved by god and the earth flooded" but I cant remember the teacher saying "and everyone else was killed by god"
I do think thats one of the greatest appeals of religion and in particular heaven. the hope that you will be with all the ones you loved throughout your life.
