"Her own people" are right leaning to conservative whites, blacks, and any color in between. She does a wonderful job and does not say anything or work against "her own people"!
I actually wasn't shocked he won. Yes, people are seeing through the racist (and other) BS and are very tired of it.
Totally agree and it's disgusting.
And why not? She's absolutely beautiful, very intelligent, patriotic (she was an army brat), usually right on point with her assessment of current happenings, just a wonderful host.

I've watched the first three episodes of season two. It's really good. Unfortunately the next episode isn't on until February 10th. They're being spread out after the first three.
One of the best horror films I've ever seen. I saw it in the theater when it came out and it scared all of us. I've seen it many times because it's done so well. To me it's timeless horror, Argento's absolute best.
I thought so too. And she was in the middle of a crowd, just beautifully singing like she was alone on a stage. I was really impressed by her performance! I know not everyone could have pulled that off like she did.

So I watched it today and I was reminded of why I loved it so much as a kid! The special effects were fantastic. The whole movie was done so well, from start to finish. The acting, the costumes, the scenery, just flawless. I can't believe it didn't win any awards.
I certainly wasn't viewing it with the same awe and wonder as when I was a kid, but I did enjoy it and it definitely holds up and I think any child would absolutely love this film today. To me it's timeless.
I see it's on Amazon Prime. I will watch it soon. I haven't seen it in years. I hope it's as good as I remember it to be, even though I'm so much older 😀

I also like black and because her outfit was more stylish, I didn't think anything of it. Perhaps you're right that more color would have been more appropriate but I don't think anyone focused that much on her, especially with Melania and Usha there.
I didn't remember what Harris wore in 2020 so I looked it up. IMO it was very underwhelming. I've never thought she had a great sense of style, nor am I a fan of hers. I have to say, however, that I liked her black outfit from Monday much better and her black coat looked very good with that white and black scarf. She might not have been happy this inauguration but she actually was dressed better IMO.
I just finished watching the first season. It's an excellent show! I'm lucky in that since I just found it, I don't have to wait long for season two. It starts January 30th.
What a season finale! Certainly not what I expected.
