You don't have to convince me, I agree with you 100%. Also, regarding the "Nakba", it was actually Syrian Prime Minister Haled al-Azm who urged all Palestinians to leave so that they could annihilate (genocide, the left's favorite word) the Jews from the land and then they could return. It didn't work out that way! al-Azm was filled with guilt in his later years and wrote about it in his memoirs. https://assets.ctfassets.net/qnesrjodfi80/4XiXRya2XSSIKKKSEqaqWG/2bd75a4128eabf4b915fb3bdf52e682b/washington-why_are_there_still_palestinian_refugees-transcript.pdf https://x.com/IbnAlwarraq/status/1744743763363463546/photo/1 "After Israel gained independence in 1948, Arab nations attacked the new Jewish state. Arab leaders told Palestinians to leave Jewish areas, promising that they would return after the Jews were destroyed. Al-Azm said that he called on Palestinians to leave, but then appealed to the United Nations to resolve their return. Al-Azm said that he "doomed a million Arab refugees" by forcing them to leave their homes, land, and work." You're very well versed on the subject. I already sent you proof from Britannica and the Associated Press that you didn't read. You think I'm going to waste my time reading a link you've posted??? That's actually very funny. No, Holocaust survivors do not hate Zionists. Not my family, not any other friends or their families or any other Holocaust survivors I've ever met in my long life have hated Israel. Those that do, are an extreme minority. You're very, very wrong. Israel stopped the blockades when they left Gaza in 2005 until the terrorist attacks started so they set up the blockades again, as did Egypt. Period. Have a good night. Sounds interesting, I'll try it. Thanks! You did better than me. I couldn't make it through a second episode. How cool. I've never heard of that. I usually wait for movies to come on streaming before I see them. I'm going to see this one when it opens on Friday. I didn't realize that but yeah, I think you're right. What you refuse to understand is that the blockades came in response to terrorist attacks in 2005. There was no intention by Israel to have anything to do with Gaza, however, because of continued terrorist attacks. Israel AND EGYPT started the blockades. Israel does not block financial aid to Gaza and never has. That's a pretty crazy accusation: "The United States has been a major donor, providing more than $5.2 billion through USAID since 1994.[7] The international community has sent billions of dollars in aid to the Gaza Strip to provide relief to the more than 2 million Palestinians living there.[8] From 2014 to 2020, U.N. agencies spent nearly $4.5 billion in Gaza, including $600 million in 2020 alone.[8] According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, aid to Palestinians totaled over $40 billion between 1994 and 2020.[9][10] Unlike the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in the West Bank, Hamas is designated as a terrorist entity, so the United States and the EU do not provide any assistance to Hamas. Israel has allowed Qatar to give hundreds of millions of dollars in aid through Hamas, and Hamas has collected revenue for years by taxing imports. Iran provides around $100 million annually to Hamas and other Palestinian groups." Sorry you feel Britannica and the Associated Press are propaganda. That's actually comical, as is your hostile attitude and inability to have a discussion without throwing out ridiculous insults. Oh no, you have it backwards. Muslims are slaughtering Christians in the CAR! https://www.persecution.com/globalprayerguide/central-african-republic/?_source_code=WHPB20C https://www.opendoorsus.org/en-US/persecution/countries/central-african-republic/ From Google: "Christians in the Central African Republic (CAR) have faced violence and persecution from Muslim rebels and their sympathizers. The majority of the country's population is Christian, but the conflict has forced many Christians to flee their homes and churches." I didn't make any comparison between the Muslim conquests. I was clarifying what Trentn was talking about as you didn't seem to have ever heard of it, although Muslims are responsible for huge amounts of blood shed, back then and today. I urge you to do some more research on how much aid Gaza receives annually because they receive BILLIONS annually in aid. Actually, I am happy to provide that for you, it's from the Associated Press or you can do your own research, it's up to you: https://apnews.com/article/business-middle-east-israel-foreign-aid-gaza-strip-611b2b90c3a211f21185d59f4fae6a90 Israeli withdrawal 2005: Britannica has it laid out quite well in detail and why Israel - as well as Egypt - had to start a blockade on each side after the withdrawal because of terrorist violence. Of course no one ever blames Egypt for the blockade, only Israel! https://www.britannica.com/event/Israels-disengagement-from-Gaza Again, I would urge you to do more research into this issue. You information is not accurate. I think you've been listening to people who are against Israel and are too bias to accept the truth. And there is no need for such a hostile tone, we're having a discussion (or so I thought). Muslims in Nigeria slaughter Christians and any non-Muslim people in villages across the country today. It is absolutely horrific!! I don't understand why there isn't more media coverage and public outrage over what's going on there. Trentn is talking about the Arab/Muslim Conquests in which they murdered millions and stole land a long time ago. The Hindus were particularly affected as the Muslims murdered and tortured huge numbers of them in India which some say is "probably the bloodiest story in history". There's plenty of information on it if you'd care to look it up. It's up to you. The land in question in this thread was called British Palestine because the Brits owned the land after taking it from the Ottoman Empire. In 1947 they gave half the land to the Arabs who were living there and half the land to the Jews who were living there and in 1948 Israel became a nation. It was right after WWII and the Jews were exceptionally grateful because there were large numbers (to say the least) of displaced Jews that could now find safety in Israel. The Brits also owned Jordan and gave it to the Arabs. Some Arabs stayed and their offspring are still there today. However, most Arabs could never accept that part of the land was given to Jews so they waged war, which they've done multiple times over the years. After losing each war they started, Israel was entitled to take some land. It's considered the spoils of war and there's plenty of information on it if you'd care to look it up. It's up to you. The Palestinian population grew enormously over the years which is the exact opposite of a "genocide". In 2005 Israel withdrew from Gaza totally and completely, even taking their dead from the cemeteries. It was hoped that there would be peace if left totally on their own without any interference from Israel. However, the Gazans started terrorist attacks of different types and, as a result, Israel needed to start a blockade to protect itself. Very sad really! The Gazans receive huge amounts of financial help every year but never made Gaza better for themselves or their children. Then they elect in a terrorist group (Hamas). I hope this helps clear up some misconceptions. How did you see it? It comes out on Friday the 17th. 🤣 Nothing supernatural going on. More like coincidental. Exactly It is shocking when you first see him but that quickly fades. He's very talented and, IMO, very brave for forging ahead and doing his thing which he's damn good at. I give you credit for watching 3 episodes. I could barely get through 1. It wasn't funny, I didn't like the characters, there was no real plot.
