"9 years old thread and all that" I watched the film as one of my "non blockbuster" viewings. yeah I guess it's easy to say what's logical, when if you're there doing that with your nads just been r*pped off, you might not be going through the process step by step. He didn't have them, did he? they got gutted. All I thought was "pity you didn't manage to get loose off the rope 20 minutes earlier..." Someone is sueing Netflix because 1) It isn't based on a true story and 2) It isn't based on her So she's sueing because the program has nothing to do with her. So that's good. Jeeves and Wooster was one of his original programs. That was late 80's/early 90's. plus stuff like a bit of Fry and Laurie. 7 year old post buy hey. Hugh Laurie - great actor/presenter/comedian type person. Hugh Laurie doing an American accent in House, sounds like Hugh Laurie [trying to do] an American accent. The pollution on Coruscant may have kept him young. Breathing in all the Spice was probably good for his biology. Once he got to Dagobah, high moisture content in the air, maybe a lot of bacteria or virii, no medical facilities, just not good for general physical wellbeing. On an unrelated note, I don't know. I think it's just the concept of it happening, rather than the practicalities of how the situation would actually progress. It's er....not that disconnected from reality. When I first saw it age....10 or something, I hated it. ET's long neck and wide front pivoted triangle head reminded me of something which I can now describe as one of the long necked monster head things from something like 'The Thing'. Much more likely to be dubbed. Did they do retro in 1984? point is - there isn't enough room in an electronic phone, for the two brass ringers in a mechanical phone. Or ok I'll re phrase that - for the electronic phone they used in the film there wasn't enough room for a mechanical ringer. Similar to the first F13th film tbh. Was she in the boat? Did that carcass grab her? Or was it all a.... It just seems to be an "ahh, I'll get you" film. Based on the idea that a dude who was killed by mob rule, got pissed off and "came back" to get revenge. A bit like Vorhees. tbh, what was Elm Street number 1 about? it was "I think that dude seems to have a disfigured face and blades for fingers, but can't quite make it out". I did notice....how does an electronic phone have a mechanical ringer? Yeah this. Apparently it's designed to be on the turret on the back of a jeep/truck. Or possibly you would need some futuristic cyborg robot with mechanical strength to use it. Let's take our country ba-vvvvvvt Let's take our country ba-vvvvvvt Let's take our country ba-vvvvvvt Let's take our country ba-vvvvvvt. Sorry. wrong fucking broken record. It's kinda interesting, I'm halfway through a marathon Elm Street/F13th/Halloween/Hellraiser run. So far, all of them have been about 90 minutes, but all of them have literally had 2-3 minutes of credits, rather than 10 minutes which is the usual. Except Wes Cravens New Nightmare - which actually looks like it's filmed with much more modern ('current') camera angles/techniques/lighting....and has credits which run for 10 minutes. Clarkson (as in Jeremy) doesn't like him. because GR apparently bought a pub that Jezza used to go to, and after buying it, closed it down. actually I'll re phrase, 10 years ago he didn't like him. I've got no idea what his opinion is of him at the moment.. I need to say, the main problem I had with the planet destroying Star destroyer, is that....a planet is....biiiig. a Star destroyer is....about 2 miles long, maximum? that's about the same size as some of London. so we're saying an object smaller than London, managed to destroy....a planet. I'm trying to work out the power requirements involved in that, and I can't. The energy beam that actually comes out of the Sd planet cannon in Ep 9 is one of the weediest laser-planet-destroyer-blowing-up-exploder things I've ever seen I have other problems with Episode 9, including the fact that DS2 in the sea looked about 2km wide. DS2 itself was about 200km wide (in Rogue One you see a Star destroyer floating in front of the dish area of DS1 as it's constructed, and it's minute). the total width of DS2 in the sea, looks about the same as the length of a Star Destroyer. my other ishoo with Ep 9 is you see a wall of ships appear at the end. and what do they do? any huge skirmishes or epic mellee's? nope. nothing. you see a few ships apparently cruise off to destroy a few planet guns....and that's it But yeah, combining real and CG can lead to very effective scenes, because obviously the eye is looking for computer generated hints, and if some of it is real (the objects you are concentrating on), that's enough for you to perceive that the CG content which you aren't concentrating on is....'more real' I'm making my way through Elm Street, F13th, Halloween and Hellraiser to see what the fuss is about. F13 number 1 was one of the most boring films I've ever watched. Literally nothing happens in the first half of the film and not much happens in the second half. The only reason I can think they were popular is because it was before the internets, and each film has b00bs in it. I also had a difficult time making it through Halloween number 3 it was called Revenge of the Jedi originally. but Lucas changed it because 'revenge' wasn't something that Jedi pursued in principle. #TrueStoryYouMightHaveAlreadyKnown What Tt said. not the actual plastic model as it dives in (plastic model? what?), but they could have created some "breaking up" CGI (think the two SD's colliding before it crashes into the shield gate in Rogue One), which if you merge real & CG, could look decent. or at least as decent as the start of Episode 3. Tbh there are some fan films on youtube now which show that even budget productions can produce good effects. producing 10-20 seconds of a crash isn't out of the question (see X-Wing fan film on youtube). I are joking Seriously, though. think about it. "I need more men". "we shall double our efforts". "I assure you this space station will be operational. even if not fully protected". "you have a backup plan in case the force field fails?". "er....yes". "what is it". "it'll be covered in the project meeting on Thursday". "good. goooood". "yeah - source that component from that other guy, he offers quicker delivery" "no, that insulation panel only needs 4 screws not 6, it'll be fine" "what? no one could fly through that service duct, nah. leave it as it is"
