Good movie. Schlocky but fun Dies fictionally? Have you ever done shrooms? Maybe it's aliens Once you start speculating about fantastical explanations then it becomes arbitrary which of the vast number of fantasy creatures you choose to explain things Why demons? Because you happen to be from a Christian culture? Why not djinn or oni or why not The Thing or doppelgangers or cyborgs from the future? I didn't mind the exposition dump, but I don't buy that Lila would sit there calmly after just having confirmed her sister is dead They changed a lot about the book, they could have also changed that Sure, why not There is truth in his claim that the chemical imbalance theory is basically a myth It doesn't mean anything to describe psychiatric disorders as chemical imbalances, at best it's a gross oversimplification that should not be repeated as medical wisdom But yes, you can tell from his phrasing that he only has a weak grasp of his own arguments. Not all psychiatric drugs are classed as antipsychotics As weird as Scientology is, lots of their criticisms of psychiatry do have merit. The problem is that their alternative, auditing and such, is pseudoscience Good luck with your dreams Well it's the quickest method for making roast polar bear steaks I saw this movie probably close to 30 times growing up. I think I know most of the movie by memory, and I agree with some of your points It's extremely apparent with hindsight that this was done on a tiny budget by a group without mainstream experience It has also aged poorly in the sense that slashers became so popular that they quickly escalated just about every aspect of the genre: kill count, complexity of plot, etc. What I appreciate about the movie is the characters. They're not super interesting but they are believable. They're mostly all self-absorbed horny teenagers who think a night of beer and sex is the most exciting thing in the world. They never have ANY clue what is coming their way. The only reason we know, where the suspense comes from, is because we see from the killer's pov. Something the franchise should have never abandoned As for the character of Michael, I agree that there's not a whole lot there. In the first one hes intentionally 1dimensional. Just a creepy killing machine That's my face as I judge Famke Janssen It's like adopting a highway or buying a star lol That could be a down payment on a house lol 🤛🏿 This post is EVERYTHING It's Pat The Movie Yes I have a thing for ponytails. I don't like pig tails though They're all equally good Thank you. Yes, I agree that this is probably the best post
