Famke Janssen, Statutory

I know Zeke was held back so he's technically legal, but she was operating at least within an ethical gray area

Famke Janssen is a molestor

Famke Janssen is a molestor

Let's not pretend that many of us would feel violated if Famke put the moves on us

That's my face as I judge Famke Janssen

Anyone over 18 is legally entitled to fuck anyone else over 18 who consents. Deal with it, prude.

[And that's only referring to regions that set the legal limit at 18. Some places it's lower. Never heard of anywhere setting it higher]

reply

Faculty having sex with students is against the rules everywhere I've seen, regardless of age.

reply

It's unethical and gross for anyone in a position of authority to use that power to threaten and intimidate an underling to coerce them into sex. Doesn't matter if they're teacher/student, boss/employee, uncle/niece, priest/altar boy, whatever.

But is that what you saw in this movie? Was Zeke even slightly threatened or intimidated by Burke's school authority?

reply

Actually, in many states, 16 is the age of consent, which is why the Kennedy boys live here in Massachusetts.

reply

I already mentioned that it's lower in some places. But thanks for admitting you live in a place where you can get away with screwing 16 year olds.

reply

My heart bleeds for the guy.

reply

Ah, the nineties.

reply

You're talking about the character, Ms. Burke. Famke Janssen, the actress, has done nothing wrong.

reply

It's not rape, but I'd say that's a breach of ethics for a teacher.

She'd probably lose her license if it were made public.

reply

AOC here in the UK is 16, but a teacher found having sex with a student would lose their job, and most likely be prosecuted. Under the 2001 Sexual Offences Act it is against the law for a teacher to have a sexual relationship with a pupil over the age of 16 who attends their school. However this does not apply to a teacher who has a similar relationship with a pupil over 16 at a different school.

reply

I think that's sensible. Too much potential for abuse of authority in a situation like that.

reply

I’m sure ‘Zeke’ will get over it.
