Not quite. The human story is the main focus, but Godzilla makes several appearances in the film, each time getting more terrifying to behold. It is a vastly superior film in comparison to some of the earlier productions in the series. As in the very first Gojira, he is all death and destruction and not a gigantic superhero. It's a personal preference, but I have no problem with reading subtitles, if the film makes sense and is expertly produced, as this one is. Doing a bad voice over would have ruined the drama of the film. This was only the second time in a Godzilla film that I felt empathy (and sympathy) for the human characters. The writers did a wonderful job crafting a storyline that the director used to full advantage to make me (and a lot of other fans!) care for the people, who, usually in this type of film are basically nothing more than monster fodder! I am sure that McCall would have a way of getting references Nope. He just left, took up a job with Uber (The second film) which also gave him opportunities to help others. Affleck does NOT make an appearance as Batman I just saw the film. Henry Cavill does NOT make an appearance as Superman. I don't know where the OP saw the "test screening", but he is wrong! To tell you the truth...This film really doesn't need a sequel it is fine as it stands without bringing in a new Godzilla. The woman respected Cole enough to want to help him build a respectable facade. Have you seen it yet? The same reason that Cole Porter was married. Watch "DeLovely" with Kevin Kline. Nope. He was still in Boston NO. He didn't get sacked. He knew he could not return to work there with what some of the employees knew about him. His staying could also put them in jeopardy again. It should have been titled "XXX Barbary Road" with the three Xs standing in for the street address (Which I forget at the moment) "Sometimes, I thought he was some sensei". You are not wrong. In one episode, Castillo showed that he was indeed a "sensei" and that he was a master of martial arts! Whedon's work was good. The Russo brothers were better. They consistently made great films - "Captain America, The Winter Soldier", "Captain America, Civil War", Avengers: Infinity War" and Avengers Endgame". Your opinion. Not mine You don't like them? That's fine. You are allowed to have an unpopular opinion. But, what a lot of people forget is that every year there are MANY non-superhero films released to the American audience. Instead of complaining about something that none of us have ANY control over, just go watch something else. I like the superhero films, but I am not a died-in-the-wool fan. I make sure to watch several non-superhero films every year. I am a big fan of GOOD horror and science fiction films (notice, I said GOOD - a lot of horror films are dreck) and good dramas, comedies and westerns. So, there are many other choices out there. Glad there was no third movie. I can see Cruise as Ethan Hunt but not Jack Reacher. More of a psycho, IMHO. Idiot
