A LOT of action movie fights today use elements of martial arts. Look at "John Wick" and almost any Jason Statham film.
As a retired professional magician, I felt that the film did a good job of showing, in a slightly fantasy way, that the pursuit of anything, magic or otherwise, is a worthwhile endeavor.
The movie description fits as there are actual magic camps in the United States, Tannen's being the most famous.

I will not argue the point with anyone. You have your deserved opinion, and I have mine. In this life, I can think of better ways to spend my time than arguing with anyone about the merits of a film that they did not like.

So, I am calling BS to her being dead and that this was just another stupid internet death hoax.
Two similar movies premiering at the same time is nothing new to Hollywood - i.e. two versions of the Wyatt Earp legend - Kevin Costner's "Wyatt Earp" and Kurt Russell in "Tombstone".
Simple. The movie came out WAY before "cancel culture" became a thing. And try as those idiots might, they will never cancel movies that happened before they were born. There are too many copies of these films for sale and download to ever get rid of them all.
Besides, now that the political climate is going to change, I feel like the FAD of "cancel culture" will be cancelled.
It makes me laugh when all these idiots cancel things for the "better" and in the same instance they are acting like the dictators they claim to be against.

Oh, I forgot! The higher ups in Hollywood are mostly uninspired, lazy coked-out idiots who are followed around by yes men.
