You've addressed the wrong person. Xanthas mentioned they seemed too old. I wasn't bothered by how they looked and figured they fit the age of what the people would have been if it were reality.
I don't think she was always attracted to Ray. Ray could be child like and tiring and her mother in law is intrusive. There are a number of eps where Debra shows how hot she really is, she isn't asexual she is just tired and depressed.
I don't think we are seeing the time pass on a day by day basis. I think they are doing these missions and then days or weeks pass before they do another one and/or they are doing missions we don't see in between. We do see them start off as clumsy and gradually get better at it. Their first couple of missions are ambushes against unprepared targets. The soldiers sight seeing were easy targets.
As we have seen in Ukraine the Russians are not very good soldiers and suffer from poor morale and training. At the time of the film it was believed they were equal to the West but it was never the case. So they wouldn't be that hard to fight.
We know he dies at some point so the end is obvious. How long they could have really stretched the series out for is another question.

Motley had 3 dark hairs and the singer was blonde.
Perhaps it's because they are all from different cliques (asides from the Goth girl) but they all seem on the outer to me, like they wouldn't really fit in with their own crowd either. Clare doesn't have the personality of a girl who would be super popular.
Channing is more in the sexy category than beautiful in my opinion. In the film as with a lot of the actors she looks more like someone’s mother.
I always thought Patty Simcox was good looking.
Reminds me of The Breakfast Club when Ally Sheedy’s character gets her makeover and goes from Goth to girl next door. Kind of the reverse of Grease but still done to attract the guy.
Moral of the story to attract someone you must change.

Yep the agenda was obvious. What they are hinting at is if we just throw the borders open than people won’t have to come in illegally.

Saw it ages ago but it was like they wanted the film to be everything and it fails. Rosie and Dan are out of place and trying to play it as some kind of caper movie. The erotica, if you can call it that doesn't have much to do with anything else. As an Australian I was surprised that Mecurio got cast obviously due to the success of Strictly Dancing. But he doesn't work in the role either and Dana probably knew she was making a pile of shit and couldn't believe she had to get her boobs out for it. She was only a few years out of China Beach where her character was more of a girl next door type.
A film only worth watching on fast forward to catch Dana.
I only watched it for Dana. I think I recorded it actually back in the day and once I saw it was a crap film I just fast forwarded to Dana's scenes. She is amazing. I agree Rosie in the bondage gear is eye bleach worthy.
Interestingly the Black Face example link in the OP's post was part of an anti racist episode by The Goodies and is critical of apartheid in South Africa. There were a number of TV shows in the 70's in the UK and Australia that featured a lot of racial humour and slurs but were actually anti racist.
Overall I think if people stopped making a big deal about black or white face it would have died out already. People keep talking about it though and some people like Justin Trudeau don Black face as part of costume parties because it's "naughty". I'm not offended by it but I don't think anyone has ever done black or white face well in terms of entertainment. It was always just a cheap gimmick.
And the reason we are meant to live forever is what exactly? Work more years, pay more taxes? I'll drink and might take up smoking too.
