You're saying it's creepy because he's too old. We're saying his age doesn't matter, it's not like he's dating a teenager or a child. That would be weird and illegal. You also keep mentioning incest, which has nothing to with this since they're not related.

Most people don't support relationships with a big age difference,

Speak for yourself. Most people don't care as long as they're both adults and both agreed to date each other.
Nope, that's not true. As a POC person in "my camp", and one of many POCs that have openly spoken up, I can say that we have criticized color-washing for any character, White or non-White. I already mentioned exceptions, so bringing up Gal Gadot and MCD only supports my argument, not yours.
Keaton was widely criticized before the film came out, and I personally don't care for him as Batman. He's better at playing Joker-like characters, that's where his acting shines.

I honestly think I already like her better than Michelle because your camp hates it so bad. It tickles me pink.

lol Thanks for finally admitting that you really do support color-washing White characters out of spite after all, like the rest of your camp. If there's racism going on, it's the double standard from you guys. If it's white, it ain't right, that's your motto.
She is white. She might have been born in Cuba, but she's of Spanish descent, as in from Spain, the European country.
If that's true, good for you, that already makes you better than most of your peers who typically support color-washing of White characters, but not the other way around.
We already established that "if it ain't white, it ain't right" is bs, and I noticed you keep walking around all the counters to your strawman argument. I'll say it again: White people and non-white people have complained whether any character is color-washed, regardless if their skin color is essential or not. I'll add that there are a few exceptions to this, if the actor/actress is popular and likable, and hasn't said anything to antagonize the audience.
With all that said, do you still wanna pretend that this is about White's feeling threatened? And that it isn't actually you libeling other fans who have legitimate criticism? Ball's in your court.
I did look on the boards, there weren't that many "racist" posts as you claimed. White's aren't the ones that are threatened, seeing as how they're not the ones screaming for color-washing characters for "representation" (attention) because it's easier than coming up with original characters, or promoting the supposed rich culture of their ancestral continent to the rest of the world.
People only say "skin color doesn't matter" when it comes to white characters, but if you were to white-wash black characters where their black skin doesn't matter, those same people would flip shit.
Exactly. Black Panther was one of the most popular characters in Captain America: Civil War along with Spider-Man, and people, including Whites, flocked to see his movie, which made even more money than Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Black Panther was an original black superhero, and a cool one at that. People love him, and weren't happy when Marvel/Disney announced that he wasn't going to be recast for the sequel.
Who actually said "if it ain't white, it ain't right"? People get mad if characters are White-washed, Black-washed, Asian-washed, Hispanic-washed, etc, whether their skin color is essential or not.
She wasn't black in Year one, not that I cared for her design in that comic either way. And last I checked, Eartha Kitt didn't play Selina Kyle, but some other Catwoman, just like Halle Berry did.
Would you be ok if black characters like Falcon, Blade, Spawn, or Cyborg were White-washed? Their skin color isn't essential either.
You keep mentioning brothers and sisters, that's irrelevant, and a false analogy as others have said. Most people don't support incest. And nobody cares if you like apples or oranges, which funnily enough, you're comparing apples to oranges whenever you bring up incest, they're completely different things.
Leo and his current girlfriend are both consensual adults, that means they're both grown-ups and can make they're own decisions, and they both decided to date each other. If it's not consensual, then obviously it's not ok. But it is consensual. It doesn't matter how much older he is than her. I personally don't care for older people at my current age, but that's me.
“If it ain’t white, it ain’t right.”
That’s rich coming from the same people who support black-washing everything, even historical figures.
Except rape isn’t consensual, that’s why it’s called rape. And who says “rape is ok”, other than rapists?
Where was that ass in Captain Marvel? Damn...
"White culture standards" are shared by most other parts of the world. Slim athletic women with curves in the right places, stunning beautiful faces, smooth skin complexion, hairless bodies, etc. Those aren't just favored by White people.
Wokeness is actually anti-feminist that pushes women to be ugly and obnoxious.
As I said in a similar post made by Quasimodo, I don't care about skin color. You're either hot or you're not, and aside from the red head that died in episode 1, and some of the background actresses, none of the main and secondary female characters were hot. Rosamund Pike aged very well and is still rather pretty, but she's not hot/sexy anymore. Same goes for many of the guys, though I did like Rand and Lan.
So if we're talking about movie Mary Jane, while I thought Kirsten was cute in the first movie, her novelty wore off in the sequels. Bryce Dallas Howard played Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3, but personality-wise, Bryce's Gwen was closer to comicbook MJ while Kirsten's MJ was closer to comicbook Gwen Stacy. Their roles were literally reversed for the Maguire movies. Comicbook MJ is one of the best girls of Marvel comics, if not comics in general.
As for Flash, Indian Flash is no better than White Flash. I personally didn't think he was funny nor was he convincing as a bully. He looks like one of the guys that would get bullied along with Peter. Comicbook Flash was a fanboy of Spider-Man, something the MCU Flash did. The other movie Flash's didn't get much screentime because frankly, they served their purpose after the first movie. At least the TASM Flash apologized to Peter for bullying him without ever knowing Pete was Spider-Man, something I appreciated. Comicbook Flash later went on to become a secret agent and served as a host for the Venom symbiote, but we don't need a movie of that. And honestly I can't see Indian Flash as a cool-looking Agent Venom.
All the women in the Jovovich movies were hotter than the women in this film. With that said, even the last Jovovich RE movie was better than this garbage.
I found her unattractive as well as annoying. In Homecoming she came across as a stalker who thought she was cool and mysterious. She was less stalker-y in FFH and NWH but she was still annoying and unattractive. Comicbook Mary Jane is cool, friendly, approachable, and hot, and while she's not a genius like Peter, she's definitely not "dumb" or an "idiot". Michelle Jones isn't dumb either, but her unlikable personality and unattractive looks outweigh any intelligence she might have.
Whatever she was supposed to be, she was annoying. Peter wasn’t annoying, weird 🤔
*says comicbook MJ is cliche and bland* lol 😆
*implies MCU Flash is somehow less bland* LOL 😂
I won’t defend Kirsten Dunst though. Bryce Dallas Howard didn’t even play MJ and she was a better MJ than Kirsten and Zendaya combined.
That’s... actually the perfect way to describe Mary Jane and Zendaya's black MJ, and why people don't like the latter. I’m a little surprised.
People criticized Gal Gadot's casting at first, including me. I'd seen her in the "Fast & Furious" movies and thought she was too skinny. I honestly didn't expect her to gain muscle and curves because overly skinny were somewhat popular at the time. Also she's not a good actress. People ended up liking her because she has a very sweet demeanor, and her accent combined with her appearance gave off an exotic vibe when she was Wonder Woman. Even though she's not White, she can pass off as White, so race-wise I'm fine.
I wrote off "The Batman" long before I learned that Catwoman was gonna be in the movie, let alone that she and other characters like Gordon were gonna be black-washed. I don't care for Robert Pattinson as an actor. Yes, I've seen his other films, Twilight and otherwise, and the only movie I thought he was good in was "The Lighthouse". He does not look the part of Bruce Wayne, at all. The trailers did not really impress me, though the fight scenes at least look better than in the Nolan movies. The DCEU is a mess right now, and I think they should focus on fixing it instead of making unrelated films. If it ends up being good, that's fine, I don't mind being proven wrong. But if it's bad after all, at least I won't be disappointed.
