The “fake outrage” comes from the claim that there are people that whine about muh diversity and representation because they supposedly can’t identify with the characters otherwise, among other asinine reasons to color-wash them. Whether she’s real or not, whether it’s cultural or not, her skin color matters, just like the rest of her design. Sure, in her case some minor details can be tweaked a bit like her eye color, hair color, and height for example, but leave her race and gender alone, same goes for all characters, real and fictional. David Boreanaz, Angel Rise of Skywalker was reportedly being reshot all the way up to release. We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, but it’s not unheard of for writers to be disappointed in the final product due studio interference or some other reason, and if it’s too late to change previous episodes, they’ll go all out with the last episodes to save face. The difference is Mando has proven himself with the fans, Boba hasn’t, at least not in this show. Luke showing up in the Mandalorian season 2 finale didn’t take away from Mando nearly as much as Luke, Ahsoka, Grogu, and Mando upstaging Boba, who’s been lame for 4 episodes and absent for 2 more. Rightfully canceled for what? When did Depp beat his wife? If you’re talking about Amber Heard, that was already disproven. Evidence showed she lied about the whole thing. He mentioned The Dark Knight Rises because as this discussion's going on, he’s simultaneously freaking out on its board because people don’t like it, all while jumping on the “hate Last Crusade” bandwagon on here. If you check out his posts on TDKR, you’ll see that irony and hypocrisy are lost on him, coupled with projecting onto others; he’s either trolling or he’s really just that dense. He sounds almost exactly like moviefanatic505 when he argues, including how he likes to claim the other person concedes when they withdraw. I don't care how you feel about TDKR or Last Crusade, love them or hate them, do whatever you want. All I did was point out that you joined the "hate on Last Crusade" bandwagon and it was you who lost your shit because you didn't expect to get caught in your hypocrisy, did you? When you dislike something others like, it's ok, but when others dislike something you like, you freak out, act childish, throw tantrums, and project onto others. You're the one who claimed I was losing my shit just because I disagreed with you, now you're projecting. It looks like you're the one who has a high opinion of yourself, either you're playing coy or you're really that dense. Me? Losing my shit? You sure about that? I've been calm, mature, and polite this whole time, while you were throwing tantrums over people not liking the same things you like. All I did was call out your hypocrisy, and you started freaking out and doubling down. You can keep playing coy on your hypocritical behavior between The Last Crusade and Dark Knight Rises, but I can see right through you. I just think it's odd that you're hating on Last Crusade, yet here you are throwing a tantrum over those who don't like Dark Night Rises despite them legitimately explaining their reasons. Both are beloved films, you're in the minority for hating one of them, yet you go on the defensive over the other. Do you not see the hypocrisy? Appealing to popularity is a logical fallacy, your words. Do you dislike Indiana Jones 3 and the LOTR films because it's the cool thing to do and you're trying to fit in? Thanks for proving my point. No, what he did was offer constructive criticism, look it up. The only kid I see here is you, you've been throwing tantrums at other people just because they don't like a movie as much as you do. My advice: accept that not everyone agrees with you, and accept their criticism, whether it's for your work or a work you like. So you're not the type of guy who makes suggestions for movies you don't like. That's fine, other people are the type to do that. Is that so hard to understand? Again, I don't need to be a pro chef at a 5-star restaurant to call out when food is bad. Just because I'd ask for a better plate, that's not the same as saying I'd go to the kitchen and cook the food myself. I'm telling the pros to do it again without making mistakes. See how easy that was? No, he was just making suggestions for parts of the film. Nolan or Spielberg being award-winning directors does not excuse them from criticisms and suggestions. You don't need to be an award-winner to make suggestions to story and dialogue, I've seen fan-fiction published for free that had amazing writing, better than many movies and TV shows I've seen, and those writers did it as a hobby even though they have other jobs. It's ok if you like the movie, but you need to act more mature and accept that not everyone likes it, and that those people make suggestions on how to improve it or parts of it. I love the Lord of the Rings movies, they all won various awards, but there are people that didn't like them and/or make suggestions to improve them, and I'm totally fine with that. Whether I agree with those criticisms or not, I'm totally fine with that. You're getting defensive over this movie and making non-arguments to invalidate legitimate criticisms people have for TDKR and that's quite immature. I don't need to be a skilled chef at a 5-star restaurant to tell if the food tastes bad. Even though I don't know how to cook, I can still tell them make my plate again until I'm satisfied with the taste. It's an invalid argument to claim that just because Nolan as an Academy Award-winning director, he can't or hasn't made mistakes, or that we as fans can't make suggestions and corrections. He is not immune to criticism from the audience. Nolan himself didn't even want to direct this movie, and it shows, he got sloppy. Whatever passion he had for the first two Batman movies was gone, he was likely just doing this so that the studio would pay for his next movie. It was an 8/10 for me too. I didn't mind the monologues quite as much as other people did, or the singing. But it seems several people especially had a problem with the Sheriff's monologue, and I kinda did too. We get it, don't judge a book by its cover, not all Muslims are bad, and diversity is good. I didn't think this show was that woke or anything, and I actually liked the Sheriff for the most part, but that whole racism subplot was unnecessary and added nothing to the story. I want to give the writers the benefit of the doubt that Netflix forced that quota on them in order to get the show greenlit, because it felt out of place. I actually thought they were gonna do something deeper with the three Abrahamic religions and have them all come together in the end or something, and I liked the scene where they were discussing whether or not to let a bible or a quran into schools, but nope, they were just letting us know that not all Muslims are bad. and to be diverse and inclusive. I was kinda hoping for more than that too, but after a while, I saw this as being inspired by Stephen King's "Salem's Lot". Since there's a new movie coming out, if it sucks, at least people have this as well as the 1975 miniseries. The 2004 miniseries was meh. What conservatives? I’ve only seen liberals go crazy over this. They’ll call people pedos even though the person of attraction is an adult, a drawing, or both. She may have played the same Catwoman as Newmar, but they weren’t Selina Kyle. Let’s say for argument’s sale that it was Selina. It was dumb of them to get an actress of a different race to play the same character, and race-washing is bad regardless. For consistency’s sake, they should’ve cast someone that looked like Newman for all seasons. Just because race-washing happened back then, it doesn’t make it ok today. The whole point of "progress" is to move on from that and to get actors that resemble their characters as much as possible. It’s bad enough that Zoe isn’t even hot, at least not to me, but she’s also the wrong race for Selina Kyle. I wouldn’t cast a White guy as Blade, I wouldn’t cast a Hispanic guy as Goku or Saitama, and I wouldn’t cast an Asian guy as Jaime Reyes or Miles Morales.
