I don't have a black list but my father put Will Smith on his Black List when he made the movie Ali (2001). Muhammid Ali was suffering terribly with Parkensis Disease at the time and Will Smith still dragged his ass around the country to promote his new movie. Ali is my fathers favorite boxer of all time and this really set him off. It was just a few weeks after 9/11 I remember like it was yesterday. Clearly the snow in the Snow Globe made him think of winter and his best Winter memory was probably him riding Rosebud down hills. I doubt that Sled did him much good living at Xanadu in Florida. I wasn't lucky enough to own a fancy sled like that. All my parents ever bought me was cheap plastic sleds or blow up sleds. I recall one year (1987?) sledding and my sister was hit in the shin by a Flexible Flyer very similar to Rosebud. It broker her shin bone. I saw it happen it made her do an entire front flip. She had some bad luck as a kid. I agree the Political Rally scene was amazing. It looked like if Hitler and Stalin had a baby's aesthetic. The over the top decorations like the red curtains were Hilter and the massive picture under them was Stalin. I'm just glad he lost the election because he had Dictator written all over him. Citizen Kane was incredible. Probably the best biopic ever made. It's hilarious that the movies subject was still alive and had 20 more years on this earth after this movie was released. I wonder if anybody ever interviewed Hearst for an opinion on this picture? I suspect his review would sound a lot like Charles Foster Kane's review of his wifes first Opera Performance. It was obviously Hearst to many today back in 1941 virtually every American knew. WRH was still alive and just 62 years old and if they didn't use an alias surely he would have used the living hell out of them. He said they are sailing down the river like Mark Antony and Cleopatra. Funny thing is it was Julius Caesar and Cleopatra that spent a month traveling down the Nile and 9 months later Cleopatra has a baby she names Ceasarion. This was MEME'd to hell and back when Game of Throwns did the same thing with Jon Snow and Daenerys calling it Boat Sex. Of course the HBO show didn't hesistate to show the actual sex. No kidding? Can you post a link to the boat? I'd love to see it. It might of been the most believable couple in the History of Hollywood. Bogart was 53 she was 44 meanwhile today we have 62 year old Tom Cruise and 60 year old Brad Pitt paired up with young women in their early 20's. Any man that thinks Katharine Hepburn was ugly at 44 just might not like women. She was fit AF no wonder she lived to be 96 years old. If you enjoyed Westworld (1973) I also recommend it's sequel Futureworld (1976). Peter Fonda and Yul Brenner both returned for the sequel. Was their really a Sharnado in this movie? I turned this POS off halfway through the movie. Star Trek remade this movie into an Episode of the Original Series. The Episode is called "Balane of Terror". It's actually how I found out about this old WW2 Movie. The way Star Trek does it it's Kirk and the Enterprise vs the Klingon Ship with a Cloaking device. The Enterprise even uses space depth charges to try making the ship uncloak itself. It's a great episode. This movie had a $6 Million Budget in 1964! If Frankenheimer wanted color it would have been color. Think about the insane stunts and huge actors in the film. It was absolutely an artistic decision to make it B&W. This movie came out the same year as Godfather II (1974). This was Legit the first ever Slasher Movie. Halloween didn't come out until 4 years later and NGL Texas Chainsaw Massace scared me way more. The Town that Dreaded Sundown (1976) scared me more as well. Franklin is probably a Jr. My Uncle John is the John XII and his son my cousin is John XIII. My cousin had 4 daughters so sadly no John XIV is likely. I myself am William Jr. and if I have a son he'll be William III. You should always tip at a restaurant or on delivery. They typically only get paid $3.25/hr because it's understood they get tips. The Law has a minimum wage exception for jobs that get tips so they don't get paid minimum wage. The original police sting made sense but once Mr Blonde started executing the employee's no fucking way do the Cops not raid the rendezvous point immediatetly after the robbery. They have 1 of their undercovers potentially injured and a second cop missing. Multiple civilians dead because they didn't stop it in time. It don't add up. The entire plot of the movie is a retelling of Julius Caesar and how the Senate Murdered him to avoid having a King. Funny thing is that even Caesar knew to make allies amoung tribes who would supply his army with wheat voluntarilly and these tribes then get special treatmen when their nation is conquered. How is it the future version of the Roman Empire forgot such an important part of divide and conquer and your army marches on it's stomach?? The True Story is 100x a better tail than this reimagining. These movies are cheap entertaining popcorn flicks free to watch on Netflix. Why are you so heated about it? They are entertaining enough to stay away and watch before bedtime. I give the first one a 6/10 and second one 5/10. they will be forgotten unless a part 3 comes out and we'll watch it if it does and forget it by the next day. Who gives af if they aren't great they aren't trash either. Why are you so passionate about a mid AF movie? Your just gay AF if you think this show is woke or bad. It's a great revenge story and is not "WOKE" at all. She is a woman pretending to be a man because women had no rights during this period. If you honestly think women never pretended to be a man during this time your blind and ignorant to history. The story is awesome how she learned her skills and she even got married and fell in love but was betrayed by her Ronin husband because he couldn't handle the fact she bested him in a sparring match. The final episode is basically the Game of Death on steroids. The show also has the best animation I've ever seen. It's great I'd give it 8/10. I grew up and lived in Wisconsin for 17 years. When I first moved to Alabama it was fine because Huntsville is metropolitan for Alabama. However once you get outside the city into the smaller towns it's like going back to 1965. Cullman is where I had the worst experiance I was working their the day Obama was elected and oh shit you would think it meant the end of the world. The local radio was calling him HUSSAIN OBAMA. Wish I had tape recorded that shit because it was eye opening. The year Sammy Sosa and Mcguire were having the run for most Home Runs in a season my neighbor kid asked me who I'm pulling for and I told I'm Sammy Sosa his response was your really gonna pull for the N'? Fuck I hated that kid. I was a couple of years older than him and once he got into a fight with my younger brother and I had to rough him up. He called us City Folk and we weren't welcome in his town and we never really talked again after that. "HIS" Town was the city of Hueytown. A shithole segregated suburb of Birmingham. The area the black people lived in they called the N' Quarters. I found the exact same segregation in a town outside of Tuscaloosa too. A town called Moundville famous for the largest Indian Mounds in the world. They also had a segregated section they called N' Quarters. Same thing with Cullman. Small towns in Alabama are absolute shit.
