I feel Zeigler was spinning the required narrative to Bill, since he was in on it, and knew Bill. I dont believe a word of his fitting excuses he fed bill, "I think you may have misunderstood two things..." the group is powerful and intelligent and out thinks the lessers, as any super intelligent chess players always do. Knowing how to handle it best for everyone involved, including coming up with convenient excuses that Bill can believe and fit, even if it is a lie [cameras failed, Epstien kills self...] ;) So much double speak... "Remember: you said it yourself: she was going to end up this way anyway.." they filled the holes for Bill to accept it on Bill's level, not reality. according to the movie, they just wanted to scare him. and the girl's death was coincidence. but, do we believe that? They didn't kill the girl.... they didn't kill Epstein. Was just accidental overdose... was just a suicide. Did Epstein kill himself? I'm into music, but lala land bored the crap out of me. I did try after all the raving reviews - now I know. I literally almost fell asleep to lala land. and had to stop and watch over 3 different days. it was well made, and I respect the work they put into it, but it lacked something.... I dunno, soul and heart. Ryan dancing looked like he nailed the moves, and performed them, but that was all. Like 1 2 3 4 and no real life or reason. Logic, facts, and truths mean nothing to the people of 2021. Its only all about whatever they choose to feel at any given second, changeable the next second. and the morons march on.... The "Duh" truly personifies the world climate. Thanks for that. Glad I didn't waste my time reading history on a movie forum. Perhaps lead with that sentence. Duh. does any of this have to do with this movie named "Titanic"? If it doesn't, I'm not reading all that. this is a movie site, not a history forum. or it used to be anyway. I fully agree, but it made for a good fictional adventure... who hasn't looked at the ads verses the real burger products and thought "shouldn't there be laws against false advertising?" they probably live inside instagram only yes, this is spot on. not a GREAT movie in any way, but proficiently made. I suspect the content is exactly why it didn't do well - that, and the generic "TV movie" production... its a wonder it ever got made. but, wow, yes, well done, Bobcat, well done hahaha yes, there ya go! I think hero worship is because of his setup. if you don't relate to it, he's just some insane person we follow around, doing bad things. if you do relate to him, as myself and millions of other generic guys do, you totally relate and see what happened. "I'm the bad guy? How'd that happen? I did everything they told me to. Did you know I build missiles? I helped to protect America." Not condoning his actual crimes - at first, it was self D-FENS - but the story itself is a tragedy about how society F's people over. most people can relate to that. agreed. falling down did what it needed to at the time.... really well! INTERNET: the land of "let's REWRITE movies because we have a place to post it" It's "Fiction". Let it be fictional. I wasn't looking for (or needing) and anti drug message from entertainment movies, and no one should be. People that only use 5% of their brain already know to not do drugs. now, wire tappers post it up on youtube, and to the news for sensationalism. country gone stoopid naw, keep him as the evil white guy and show all the things evil white guys put up with now :) It would need to be a completely different movie, but maybe kee[ the "follow the guy" concept. Maybe he is on his way to a shrink or divorce lawyer, but his car broke, the Uber snubs him and he has to walk, encountering all the whack jobs hahaha they couldn't make this movie NOW. shocked this version doesn't have trigger warnings all over it... then again, EVERY movie should have trigger warnings because people are offended by everything now. very true. AI brings in confusion though. like the ATOM BOMB only had one job: destroy. so yeah, bad to make that. AI, however, is in use all the time now, and can bring amazing wonderous possibilities. that gives us rose colored glasses to potentially catastrophic down sides: accidents that kill us all never seeing it before, bought the bluray based on the PUT THAT COFFEE DOWN scene, and the writer. this movie is not for me. felt like a filmed stage play. actors did great, script was okay, just NOTHING of interest in it at all for me. will always do more research now. Haven't watched it twice, no need to watch it ever again.
