It's my favourite Elfman score after Edward Scissorhands.
I think so. Also, I saw Batman Returns in the cinema when it first came out and it didn't strike me as that outrageous. And I wasn't a kid.
I think this is it, that Gordon was invited to Bruce's party in the first movie as a 'name' that would look good on the guest list (maybe it was a fund-raiser? I can't remember). By Batman Returns the respect that we saw hinted at with the reveal of the Bat-signal in Batman seems to have grown a little more, but it's still not what I would call friendship (I think Batman Forever was the first to hint at that).
I always thought it ran on some sort of rocket fuel.
I saw Batman in the cinema in '89. Yes, it was huge. I loved it at the time - at last we had the serious Batman film that so many of us had wanted for so long (have to say though that as soon as Batman Returns came out I preferred that - and still do).
I never really thought of her as a star. At least, not top tier (despite the Oscar).
I had the urge to rewatch this tonight. I agree about the rope and about Annabelle floating outside the window. Given that as soon as Nora ran out of the room screaming she also saw Annabelle hanging in the hallway, either the rope and floating were genuine paranormal experiences, or they were hallucinations brought on by Nora's fragile mental state.
Thanks, and to you!
Thank you!
Hi! Thanks! (Arguably my favourite actor - tricky choice between him, John Hurt, and Michael Fassbender)
Thank you!
Lifelong DC comics fan and horror fan, so I picked that as it kinda has a foot in both camps!
Thanks! And thanks!
Hi!
Haha! Likewise man!
Much as I've never been that keen on the idea of Bruce ending up as he does in Batman Beyond, I would still love to see this with Keaton. The initial rumours of his return made me more interested in the Flash movie than I had been since the Flash solo was first announced.
Well, what are they waiting for? Ask her!
I watched Exorcist III (made the year after Batman) the other day, and thought that Brad Dourif would have made a good Joker.
I like/own them both. Probably like this one just a little more.
Ditto! This, and The Fog (original) are Halloween musts for me.
Agreed. I love this film.
