Uh yeah, that scene where he sucks the ring off Jule’s finger was so weird. Like, who does that? Very uncomfortable to watch.
Yeah, messing with someone’s job was taking it way too far.
She was also really stuck up and judgmental. She thought she was above Kimmy and her family simply because they were bougie. She was so uptight!
Yes, Kimmy was great. She was sincere and genuine, and has good intentions. She honestly wanted to bond with Jules.
What I LOVED that he killed him! That scene was so satisfying to watch.
In 1990, Tony Goldwyn was 30, and Demi Moore was 28/29. Patrick Swayze was 38.
The ten years age gap between Demi and Patrick is very normal I feel. My parents are also ten years apart.
As for Carl, it doesn’t seem odd that he’d be friends with someone 8 years younger.
Ugh that hair! I get it was 1990...but just seeing that hairdo annoys me. It’s so pretentious and extra!
And to add to your point, he was a man with means. Money was not an issue, as we saw from his hiring PI’s to track her down.
That’s the point though, she had no choice other than to kill him. He made it clear that he was psychotic and violent, she knew deep down that no amount of legal protection would ever give her true peace of mind.
Yes. I’ve been clamming before. Once you find the spot, it’s like picking apples from a tree
Yes. I keep seeing comments stating that it was a plot device, but surely the writers could’ve found other ways to advance the plot. Leaving the ring in the toilet was so jarring because it left the impression that Julia Roberts’s character wanted her intentions to be discovered.
He also often has annoyingly creepy mannerisms. Like towards the end, when he’s at the door and says “it’s tomorrow, 12:05. Couldn’t wait to see you.” In what world is that cute??
Yes and making her feel uncomfortable over some stupid apples that were going to rot anyways was just creepy. And the way he kept popping up at her place unexpectedly was obnoxious! That scene where he like pounds her door, at like 8 pm, and then asks her if he scared her? Rude.
Yeah I have to agree. I kept trying to justify it by thinking maybe it was 1990 so it was different. But he often annoyed me.
Meets David Arquette
Because it was 1990, when discussions surrounding rape/consent/female sexual agency/etc were still either non-existent or very primitive.
He sure did play a despicable character convincingly. So creepy!
Major plothole. Makes her seem not serious about remaining undiscovered. Like, she couldn’t even bother to flush the toilet? That makes it look like she wanted him to figure it out.
Um, try pulling what they did and see if you’d walk away Scott free. Pretty sure there were several crimes committed.
Because it’s George Clooney. Have you looked at him?
