...and you're a fucking oxygen thief. 'Aliens' (like 'T2') is catshit out of a dog's arse. The only thing 'shocking' she's ever done is 'exist' in a 'field' (in which I assume) no-one asked for, nor needs? (Yet still regularly take up column-inches?) She's up there with Swift. (Beyonce, West, Gaga, Sheeran, Kardashian and Styles) on my 'talentless-somebodies' list (and little else) The same 'Harris' that branded Trump the second coming of 'Hitler'? Turn This Mutha Out Feel My Power The Funky Headhunter I like 'Ressurection' also (it's my second favourite in the series) But the cast in this one, resemble a 'Beneton' ad campaign...as opposed to remotely likable/well rounded characters. I'm British, and even I couldn't decipher some of the (over-sweary) slack-jawed mockney patois on display here. Very weak casting... but feel free to let me know what you thought of it? Once you've seen this (terrible) movie...you'll realise you've wasted all that 'sarcasm' on so-little True. There wasn't one likeable/personable actor in this entire wretched movie (including the CGI spinning-corpse of Ian Holm) The jump from RONIN (1998) narrowed it down to two years. Although, to be fair, he got back into some kind of shape for GRUDGE MATCH (2013) It might just be that around the late 90's, his body started to age naturally...resulting in it not being as easy to get back into shape? (unlike his well-documented method weightgain/loss from his younger years) Yeah, but...He was in: The Mechanic Buster & Billie Hooper Defiance Enemy Territory Hit-List Buffalo 66 (Oh yeah...and Airwolf) Surely a pass? Imagine how better it would been, if it had a leaner running time and (despite its genre) a more realistic take on its unrealistic scenario (without the over-reliance of hallucinations, etc) And that goes double for it's likewise lazy charactitures and endless plot-holes? 'True Lies' (whilst a hit) is just as much (if not more) a Cameron movie than a Schwarzenegger movie. I wrote a long lengthy post about this (probably somewhere on Armies MovieChat board) which pretty much covered Stallone decline too. Personally, I thinks its down to a few factors: Audience tastes changing: Rom-coms, which were relatively cheaper to make, were just as big in the 90's as action movies were in the 80's. The advance of CGI (which Schwarzenegger helped usher in alongside Cameron) soon enabled anyone or anything to be (literally) anyone or anything. This is also true of one-time martial-artist actors (Seagal, Van Damme) because now the likes of Keanu Reeves or Drew Barrymore could be martial artists. Once upon a time, Schwarzenegger *was* the special-effect of the movie...but when your defining signature role depends on your physique...then time eventually dictates your sell-by date. Whereas Stallone had franchises (and actual acting, writing and directing chops) to fall back onto that were primarily based in reality...Schwarzenegger cut a pretty pathetic figure as a 60+ year old cyborg. So, all those factors (added alongside a series of well-documented flops) is my take on Schwarzeneggers downfall. 1993 was his first loss...but although he may have returned with True Lies, other movies didn't fare as well. Plus his heart attack/problems (circa 96/97) wouldn't have helped either. Odd, that all the movies being thrown about in this convo, no-one has mentioned 'Last Action Hero'? (Is it the 'elephant in the room' so to speak?) That movie alone marked the beginning of the end for Schwarzenegger If you can't get a twenty-year-old girl. ...get two at ten (Quote) "Leo's Level" Whats that...Looking like a (triangular-faced) 13-year old, constantly scowling (with all the depth of some kid being told to mow the lawn/tidy his room?) Plus 'shit' actor (despite bought and paid for studio/oscar hyperbole?) There's a deleted scene in the 'extra features', that shows Rocky meeting Paulies girlfriend. Watching it right now (and although it's not the massive overhaul of the recent #4 directors cut) i've already noticed a few (subtle) differences (notably Paulie asleep at Rocky's house at the start...and (I think?) Certain minor scenes have been omitted. I think some of the dialogue with Rocky and Paulie in the freezer is (somewhat) different also? House On The Edge Of The Park. Cannibal Ferox. Madness. She's my favourite starlet of Italian cinema (a perfect 10) R.I.P.
