Movie: Over The Edge (1979). This was on HBO a lot back in the day but not many people know about it now. Teen rebellion film with a great soundtrack and also Matt Dillon's film debut. 12-13 year olds smoking dope yet still somehow innocent, unlike another movie called Thirteen in which the main kids are, frankly, little shit heads. The kids in Over The Edge rebel because their parents move them to a planned community with nothing to do. Book: Over The Edge of the World-Magellan's Terrifying Circumnavigation of the Globe- Just a gripping book. Told thru the diary entries of a crewman or journalist named Pigafetta (his role alludes me but it's not really important) It was the first time in human history a sailing crew went around the world, complete with stories of meeting savages, discovering new species, and all of the other trials and tribulations a crew during the Age of Exploration went through. Song: I'll go with something definitely off the beaten path. The artist is Bassic and the song is called Incantation. Find it on youtube. Very creepy sounding. It would be perfect as the opening song for a horror or science fiction film, or even better in an end of the world movie. As a kid I loved Reece's Puffs, Fruity Pebbles, Sugar Smacks, French Toast Crunch. Now I don't eat cereal that much due to the sugar but if I do I like Honey Bunches of Oats, Honey Nut Cheerios, and Rice Chex. I still LOVE the flavor of all the ones I liked as a kid but I'd rather have a cookie or soda if I'm going to indulge in a sugary treat. Oh it's very true! Not a rub and tug, at least I have never been offered one! And I just prefer Asian places because whenever I've gone to a place like Massage Envy my masseuse always wants to chat with me. I don't enjoy massages when I feel like I have to talk. Also, no appointment needed at Asian place. Within minutes of going in they are working on me. Not to derail my own thread but massage is great! Highly recommend it! And if you like 420 get blazed before. Soooooo relaxing and nice. Yeah you may have had it as well. I was the same way. No appetite but was downing the water, gatorade, and even tried some pedialight or pediasure, whatever that stuff is called. My son was better about 5 days later, it took me about 10 days. I still feel like I cough more then normal even now but I think I am fully recovered. Yeah I don't know if u can't get it twice. I'm telling myself you can't, and also telling myself I definitely had it, but that is as much just to make me not stress about as anything else. I may have had it around the New Year. I had a cough, very mild fever, but awful diarrhea. The worst was the extreme chills/sweats I would get. Also my 7 year old son had a temp of 103. I was told I had an upper respiratory infection. Oh, and I went to an Asian massage place twice in December. So maybe I had it myself. Kudos to your wife. Thanks I'll take a look. I deleted the Trump part and much of the rest of my post as well. You're right it did seem political. Hey baby I watched: Fire in the Sky Dark Side of the Ring episodes New Jack and Brawl For All, JRE with Eric Weinstein, and some movie with Martin Sheen about cults that kill children. Can't remember the name but it was better then expected. It's really good. Very similar in ideas to a recent documentary about the history of evolution I saw on Curiosity Stream. If u had the fire back in the day you got all the poon tang. I'm not. There are plenty of other Covid threads on General Discussion. I graduated in 2001. But the late 90s early 2000s were a great time for raves and the club scene. At least I enjoyed it, although I know every generation says their generation had the best time. For what it's worth, Braveheart was supposed to be re-released I believe the 2nd to last week of March, I got tickets. Then the virus came and ruined it :( Sounds like the people I would have hung out with if we went to the same school. Especially the ecstasy part. What year did u graduate? Did ya get laid? Thanks for the Tanner clip 7. Very eye opening Yeah that is so annoying. I find myself constantly turning the volume up and down. My tv's volume is 1-100 and sometimes I'm going up to 100 for quiet dialogue then instantly back down to 25-30 when music or effects come on. Sometimes I just give up and put the closed captioning on, which isn't ideal either. I had good moments and bad moments when I was a youth. In particular most years were good, a few great, a few bad. Kindergarden-4th were pretty good. 5th was brutal. I had Satan for my teacher. The guy later went to prison for felonious assault. 6th was good. 7th was the worst. Bullied, not one but two best friends move away the summer before 1st year of junior high, so I had no friends going into a new school as a 12 year, in a school that had 15 year olds as well. And the older kids loved to pick on loner 7th graders. It was miserable. 8th-10th were good. 11th not so good. 12th was amazing. That was the year I started smoking pot and experimenting. Went to my first raves and I loved being popular at them. Instead of dancing at the school prom some of our fun group went dancing while on ecstasy at a rave. I'm certain we had more fun then if we would've went to the prom. Overall I enjoyed my youth. I grew up in an upper middle class family and was a child of the 80's and 90's. It was a fun time to grow up. Had rough times but also great times. Or, maybe Todd DID just want to see Ronna in her bra for a little bit, and knew making her think he was looking for a wire because he was a drug dealer would trick her into showing herself. And then he pretended to be worried about 20 lousy hits. And certainly not that crunchy herbal rave shyt.
