Yes, In the director comentary of the DVD Coppola make some reference to this character be inspired by Sinatra, Mario Puzo took a lot of real history and adapt in the novel even Jack Woltz is inspired in a real person

Good things about the movie
In the party was some dude talking about some girls that are so flexible you can cum in her ass and her face at the same time that actually sound like a fun story and I wanted to hear more about it but they cut it quickly is a shame
The photography is ok, some work of camera blocking even when is misused is decent, the music choice is good reinforced the intention of the director that was emotional manipulated the audience to the point she present a grotesque picture of men in general but make us sympathized so much with the main character most people don’t see all the flaws the movie have (is not necessary something good but at least show ability from the director to achieve her purpose) I felt like a reference to Rebecca of Alfred Hitchcock was in the end of the movie when they show the heart with the name of Cassandra and her friend I think is a hint they were more than friends which would have a lot of sense “she was relentless and dint care for nobody’s opinion but mine” soound more like a lover and again have a lot of sense

After the first date he ask her to go to his apartment she say not he respect that, she gets obviously uncomfortable with the suggestion and he act like have sexual desire for a woman was something terrible and tell her he sorry for even asking her to up to his apartment, and they both act weird like the cartoonist character they are, her I understand she is with this trauma she dealing with, but he is acting like he couldn’t believe what he just did, dude you just asked her to go to you apartment that is normal human behavior she say not and you respect that, also normal human behavior
