I thought the same thing but it was not my turn to command the remote control tonight (wives man!!)

It turned out to be very sweet and McDormand was fantastic...She's just been amazing in the several things I've seen her in

Pretty solid movie if a bit sad at times

I remember not too long ago forcing myself to sit through dopey shows like The Voice and American Idol to please the wife. I drew the line at The Bachelor though. I would retreat to the other room with a tv in those instances.

Was it a lack of a main climactic conflict you disliked?
I thought the same at first but then I
thought about Fern's situation
Her husband had passed, the plant had closed, she probably couldn't keep up the mortgage and bills by herself

I thought it was very well done (and some of the cinematography was amazing)

It is boring is about a skinny old lady who can't live around people for some reason and is like the movie is tryng to convince us we should feel empathy for her because is not weird be weird or something in those lines, i dont know, if this thing have a message i dont get it the photography is really pretty thought, and there is David Strathairn who in this movie for some reason think Frances Mcdormand is atractive and want some of that is kinda of a comedy but very slow

wow, there are several topics on this board with the word "boring" in it already, i won't see the movie myself because i very rarely watch new movies, i actually prefer movies from around the 1950s, but i've heard this buzzed about all the time recently, straight off when i heard it mentioned i got reminded of the 1980s movie "nomads" starring the haircut who played bond during the 1990s, 2000.
