AMC is still making money off of that trash though. That was my point. I wasn’t saying that walking dead was good.
How would Drogon even know what the throne was? He never even saw Dany sit on it.
There was nothing in the previous episodes/seasons to suggest that the dragon would understand that
Drogon melting the throne symbolized the futility of power and the frailty of the human condition. Just kidding. It was just crappy writing! There is literally no reason why a dragon would have bothered to do that.
I think it would have been in HBO’s interest to keep the show going forever, walking dead style. They’ll probably lose a lot of subscribers now that it’s over. Particularly where the last season sucked so bad.
Right! How/why would Drogon even know what the throne was? Totally stupid! I can accept Drogon not killing John because of his Targareon blood, but burning the throne was ridiculous. The fact that it was even still there after last week was ridiculous.
It was nowhere near as good as meh
It seemed forced to me. The whole city was being burned to the ground anyway so why bother with a sword fight? Nobody alive knows that it happened or who won.
The scene would have worked better if it happened before the city was being destroyed.
Maybe Drogon will shatter like the white walkers when Dany is killed. It's season 8 so it doesn't need to make sense.
Don't forget about the white walkers. Bad guys that were built up since the first episode then they die in one battle with basically no explanation.
Bronn on the council? He just threatened to kill Tyrion. But like everyone is saying, the ending sucks!
He warged into other animals and he warged into Hodor. So it may be possible he could do it to a dragon.
Bran could possibly warg into Drogon
option a would actually be cool, so that won't be happening
More like two seconds later
I see what your saying about his character. He was a risk taker and most of his success was luck. I still thought the scene was bad though. Jamie just happens to be alone in the area that Euron happens to swim to, it was too much. Also it was unnecessary when they were both going to be dead at any minute from dragon fire.
He wasn't nuts. He was very flamboyant and over the top but the stuff he did was all calculated. Taking over the iron born, kidnapping Yara, aligning with Cercei, killing the dragon, these were all things that he had planned to do in advance. He wasn't just some wacko who randomly did this stuff. For him to do anything other than try to find a way out of the city alive was stupid and out of character.
It's like they were trying to make his death epic in some way but it was very pointless and dumb. It would have been more satisfying to see him die on the ship from the dragon.
She didn't need to burn the city. The city surrendered last night after their military was mostly destroyed. If the city was caught off guard a few seasons ago and was being overwhelmed by three dragons they would have surrendered then too.
Euron jumped off a ship and swam all the way back to the beach. He then wasn’t tired at all and instantly started a sword fight with Jaime who happened to be right there. Pretty silly.
Plus, the dragon was torching the city. There was no point in having a sword fight anyway. Nobody would be alive to know or care who killed Jaime.
