shareThe building they were hiding under was destroyed shortly after they left, so it didn't really matter. In that kind of chaos life or death is a matter of luck. You happened to dodge left and the people who dodged right got killed. You ran instead of staying under cover and the people who stayed under cover got buried. Or you stayed under cover and the people who made a run for it died. There's no obvious right move. Arya was going on the theory that Dany was being systematic in her destruction so anyone who stayed put was definitely screwed; whereas those who ran for the edge of the city and its breached walls were probably still screwed, but had a chance.
shareThey didn't show that - all those inside might have lived.
sharejust more clunky writing stuffed in to monster-ize Dany.
a mini-relationship created on the spot to personalize what's happening for Arya.
Well, the basic idea of the scene was nice - Arya choosing life over death, tries to help someone live rather than doing more killing, and finds that Death isn't going to go away the first time she asks.
But as with everything else this season, the finished product really didn't work.
She could have save the kid, but she wouldn't keep moving.
shareHer first plan was the right one. The mother wasn't going to make it, she begged Arya to get her daughter away, so that's what she should have done. Drag her away and let the girl hate her for it afterward if that makes her feel better.
shareShe should have use her teleportation ability and kill Daenarys
