oof. deliver us lord from 3 more movies by these writers.
Well, that is what it was historically thought of as. Lucas has always stated that the OT movies were just a part of a larger 9 movie saga about the Skywalkers. (Of course he probably only thought if it that way once the OT panned out.)
I was OK with TFA, I liked TLJ, but this one, yes, a pointless sequence of cool looking scenes not really connected to the story of the movies that preceded it. Token cameos, pointless fanservice...
We all walked out of the movie looking down, avoiding eye contact. There were no smiles and grins like after the previous movies.
Hear hear.
I myself liked Kylo, but agree with everything you’ve said. Nothing matters, and there is no consistency.
Storywriting went out of the window.
What was up with the awkward love pentagon (5 people)? Finn and Rose seemed to have something going on in TLJ, but now Finn kinda has a thing for Rey, as does Poe, but in the end Rey is planting a wet one on Ben?
Who is the last jedi? Is it Rey? What’s with the broom boy?
Why did they bring “horses” into a space battle?
Edit: pointles cameos.. what was Dominic Monaghan (whom I like as an actor) doing in there with a couple of one liners?
This movie made the prequel trilogy look better by comparison.
Perhaps the next 9 movies will answer that question. I will be 80 years old when the last of those comes out.
They could have easily made her a clone of Palpatine, which I thought the cave/mirror scene was hinting at. Could have even fought a Dark Rey in this one...
Yeah, but we still don’t know Rey’s midichlorian count.
Agree 100%.
How can they not write a thought out trilogy with SW as the source material?
Edit: Everything seemed rushed too. Like they were trying to wrap up 40 years of storytelling in 2 hours because they had to. (When in fact they had a whole trilogy to do it.)
Back to reading Thrawn for me.
That’s because only the jedi with high enough ghosticlorian count get to be force ghosts.
Sucka!
That’s about 9% too generous.
It’s sad that they can make one wish for “less” lightsaber duels, but that was exactly what was going through my mind... “Again?”
I enjoy it, but I expected much, much more. I expected a darker story, on the level of Rogue One, but instead we got Ewok level show. I’d give it 5 out of 10.
I think a show about a Mandalorian bounty hunter should be a bit more adult oriented.
Definitely the Cube. even the sequels are OK.
