She looks great. She's 49 and has children. There's an actual photo of Lee Miller and her friends topless at lunch. That was their lifestyle, and it's relevant to establish her personality and lack of inhibitions. I think the point is that they're simply too nice. They're push overs and people pleasers. They way their characters were set up, it's not unbelievable that they returned for a doll. Their kid was having a panic attack and started scratching herself, and they just wanted her to calm down. It's a stupid decision, but in line with their characters He probably tried and failed. That's why he had all those scars on his body. May e he just gave up at some point. Until he met the little girl and told her everything. He would still be captive, or dead, if he hadn't told her what those people did. Imogen and Maurice were most likely the employees in that specific county. Maurice was a native Spanish speaker and Imogen also spoke pretty good Spanish. Jack worked in multiple places, probably never in that country. At a certain point they must have figured out he's not really Jack, but as Maurice said: "they never know" ( when they're getting killed) SPOILERS ahead This movie is about trauma, specifically child SA. It's supposed to be disturbing and uncomfortable. My interpretation is: this is what a grown-up who has grown with severe abuse looks like. This is what trauma and abuse does to someone. The ending even implies that he did ( or was about to do) to the missing boy what was done to him. It was a very well done movie, and I totally would recommend it. The acting is fenomenal. I still don't understand why they thought Beth killed her mom. I looked closely at that scene. Here's how it went down: 1. Evelyn tells Beth to open the gate. Beth's horse freaked out a little bit and bumped into Evelyn's horse, as Beth didn't know how to ride it properly ( because her parents didn't teach her or just ignored the fact that she's afraid of horses) 2. Evelyn's horse got on his back legs and then fell onto Evelyn. 3. Evelyn immediately blames Beth for this accident. Kacey offers to go get help, as he knows how to ride. Evelyn sais No, Beth did this, she should go. So a grown woman, with an entire horse on top of her body, in need of immediate help, sends a panicked 12 year old, why cannot ride a horse, to get help. To me this is on Evelyn. And women use their x ray vision to see that? Both women were into him way before he got naked. He seeks an opportunity? Beth asked him to play a song for her. Rip knows that Beth gets what she wants. So why is Walker at fault here? And why is him singing a song such a big deal? I think you should prove your point before asking others to prove you wrong. You can't just say Fact like that's an argument lol True. I think the point there're trying to make is that people in Montana are tough. Even women. A good guy who killed a minimum of 5 people in the first 2 seasons. Even if those were criminals, anywhere on the planet except Paradise Valley, Kacey would be considered a murderer. Jamie didn't kill to save the ranch, he killed because he ratted in John and all their secrets would have been out in the open. He has a direct interest in not destroying the ranch and all John 's legacy. And John didn't give him anything? Really? Jamie will inherit part of the ranch ( he would have before he chose his chose his murdering biological father), he has a good education, he has the Duttons name. Who do you think would vote for Jamie Randall? Jamie would probably be in jail or dead if John didn't adopt him. Well, Jamie is not his child. So he can't love him as much as the others. Plus Jamie chose to forgive his psycho father who killed his mom, and who tried to kill all the Duttons and said he will keep trying until he succeeded. I get him hating Beth, but John raised him and Kacey treated him like a brother. There's no possible reason for him to hate John THAT much. She's terrible, but gets somewhat better as the show progresses. People seam to like her though. There's going to (possibly) be a spinoff with her and Rip: https://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-and-culture/a60755937/cole-hauser-yellowstone-possible-spin-off-quotes/ They tell us what she's been through. Her mom died in an accident that she blamed Beth for, and so does John. She carried that guilt all her life. Plus Jamie took her to a clinic where they sterilizes her. She will never be a mother. She got so far in life in part because her dad is a local big wig. I noticed that she can occasionally be superficially charming. She's a unrealistic character and annoying to watch. But all Duttons are slightly or overtly psycho. Even Kacey who seams more normal killed about 5 people in the first 2 seasons. John regularly orders people to be taken to " the train station". Killing for them is like getting into fights to other people. SPOILERS: 1.He's allowed to sterilize her? She will never be able to have kids. That's a pretty big deal. She was about 15 and Jamie was "the grown-up". She was definitely underage, so not old enough to know what to do. 2. Yes, it's hard to believe they didn't warn her. But they assumed he told her and she was ok with this. Of course you shouldn't let a teenager to something so serious without a little counseling. But it was a reservation clinic, so maybe they had a lack of interest in counseling a white girl. 3. Even if he did something unforgivable, it's hard to believe that Beth is so hatefully towards him that All The Time. It wasn't. Probably Celine saw her and took the pills and put them back in the garden. What do you mean Alice lost her child? It was Celine who lost her son, there's no ambiguity about it. People complain about the ending, but villains getting away with murder is not uncommon in movies ( and obviously in real life), but I think the problem is that they didn't show us enough of Celine and her motivations, her mental health or her past. So the end came as a surprise The movie was very subtle, but I found some hidden layers. 1. He visits a temple/shrine. Maybe to pay respects to someone who died? 2. His sister asks him why he doesn't visit their father who is in a nursing home and "not the same person as before". His categoric "no" and his reaction to this subject hints at s very difficult, maybe abusive relationship with his father. He hugs his sister and then cries. Maybe he wants to be close to her, but can't or won't return home. 3. All his little rituals, repetitive and dependable, seam to me like coping mechanisms. He wants to be in charge of every aspect of his life, maybe because he wasn't in control for a long time. To me he seams like a very sensitive, traumatized person, who tries to heal and be left alone by everyone.
