She looks great. She's 49 and has children.
There's an actual photo of Lee Miller and her friends topless at lunch. That was their lifestyle, and it's relevant to establish her personality and lack of inhibitions.
I think the point is that they're simply too nice. They're push overs and people pleasers. They way their characters were set up, it's not unbelievable that they returned for a doll. Their kid was having a panic attack and started scratching herself, and they just wanted her to calm down. It's a stupid decision, but in line with their characters
He probably tried and failed. That's why he had all those scars on his body. May e he just gave up at some point. Until he met the little girl and told her everything. He would still be captive, or dead, if he hadn't told her what those people did.
Imogen and Maurice were most likely the employees in that specific county. Maurice was a native Spanish speaker and Imogen also spoke pretty good Spanish.
Jack worked in multiple places, probably never in that country.
At a certain point they must have figured out he's not really Jack, but as Maurice said: "they never know" ( when they're getting killed)
SPOILERS ahead
This movie is about trauma, specifically child SA. It's supposed to be disturbing and uncomfortable.
My interpretation is: this is what a grown-up who has grown with severe abuse looks like. This is what trauma and abuse does to someone. The ending even implies that he did ( or was about to do) to the missing boy what was done to him.
It was a very well done movie, and I totally would recommend it. The acting is fenomenal.
I still don't understand why they thought Beth killed her mom. I looked closely at that scene. Here's how it went down:
1. Evelyn tells Beth to open the gate. Beth's horse freaked out a little bit and bumped into Evelyn's horse, as Beth didn't know how to ride it properly ( because her parents didn't teach her or just ignored the fact that she's afraid of horses)
2. Evelyn's horse got on his back legs and then fell onto Evelyn.
3. Evelyn immediately blames Beth for this accident. Kacey offers to go get help, as he knows how to ride. Evelyn sais No, Beth did this, she should go.
So a grown woman, with an entire horse on top of her body, in need of immediate help, sends a panicked 12 year old, why cannot ride a horse, to get help.
To me this is on Evelyn.
And women use their x ray vision to see that? Both women were into him way before he got naked.
He seeks an opportunity?
Beth asked him to play a song for her. Rip knows that Beth gets what she wants. So why is Walker at fault here? And why is him singing a song such a big deal?
I think you should prove your point before asking others to prove you wrong. You can't just say Fact like that's an argument lol
