Ha ha ha! Yeah, movies, television, advertisements, if there's one thing they're noted for in 2022, it's a complete lack of non-whites.
So daring. So stunning and brave.
It's not just the wokeness, but the underlying message that it sends to young girls. "Hey, you can disseminate pictures of your "panda" for likes and money. It's normal and healthy!" Oh, and becoming a young adult is achieved by dancing provocatively -- especially in defiance of your parents.
It would probably remind them of that time they forded the Rio Grande.
Yellow Jesus? You make a lot of good points, although I would more accurately describe him as the Beast of Babylon. His portrayal is an offense to all Christian men. If he was so g-d damned incredible, how come he couldn't stop the Larusso's kitchen faucet from spraying all over the place?
As far as never being horny, his grooming of Daniel tells a different story. He basically left Yukie at the altar, a kindly, pretty woman - prime wife material. Methinks his interests lay elsewhere. In the martial culture of WWII-era Japan, such inclinations would have got him killed.
Miyagi was the prototype for today's Hollywood "kick ass females". The ones who, despite being a foot shorter and 100 lbs. lighter than their opponent, are untouchable in hand-to-hand combat. It's a fiction for sure, and that's why calling him a "magic" negro is entirely justified.
I knew it, you knew it, Master Buzzcut knew it, Striderwind knew it, and many others knew it. For years we took the slings and arrows of known bosses and the likes of wearsalan, but our faith persevered.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of Miyagi, I will fear no pusses: for thou art with me; thy gi and thy ponytail they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table of poached salmon before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with Quicksilver; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the way to Tahiti: and I will dwell in the house of Silver for ever.
If they could somehow work into the storyline a brief scene where Terry Silver destroys Albert Ingalls, it would ensure an Emmy.
Let's not forget the dark back story involving Danielle and Judy from Jersey. Does forced sodomy count as "doing it"?
I haven't seen this movie, so I can't add to this thread. Good to see the format return, however. This weekend I had on "BNB Breaking Training" as background noise while I was pulling a weekend shift at work. Carmen Ronzoni vs. Whinielle, still one of my favorite threads of all time.
I've mostly withdrawn from all sportsball in the past two years. I just want to watch a game, not be told that I'm supposed to hate my ancestors.
But I have to admit tuning in this past weekend. A mind-boggling result, or maybe not. After all, Ole's at the wheel.
I agree it's a satisfying ending. But I'm not sure it makes sense for Walsh to turn over indictable evidence to a mobster in order to pocket $100K. The viewer knows that it's all a ruse and that Walsh will actually be helping put Serrano behind bars, but why would Serrano believe it? Walsh threw away his career and family -- everything that mattered to him in life -- because he wouldn't take a bribe from Serrano. But now, when he has a chance to avenge all that misery, he's willing to let Serrano get off scot-free in exchange for a modest amount of money?
I don't know about that, but the actor who played Billy Charlebois looks just like Benjamin Orr of The Cars.
Why would he think that Holly had witnessed his attempt to interview her family? He would have assumed that as a hostage, she'd have had no chance to watch TV.
How did he not kill Al by tossing a corpse at his car? What kind of aim was necessary when throwing a body more than 30 floors to the ground and having it hit the hood of a car and not the passenger compartment (which would have instantly killed Al)?
Heh heh. I went to the Far East (Japan) for the first time in the mid-90s. After I got back, a friend asked me if they had those height stickers next to the doors in convenience stores. I said, "Yeah, I think so. Why?" He said, "Well, they really need them over there because describing a shoplifter to police is more difficult because they all look so similar." He was dead serious.

Two words: "Makin' Bacon". That kind of smut may go over well in TJ or Guadalajara but there's no place for it in Ronald Reagan's California. Hopefully the next YouTube series related to the KK will track Freddie's efforts to elude ICE followed by his eventual offing at the hands of a cartel or MS-13.
Shield24! Don't owe you? How many times did you save my ass back at imdb?
He died of the Wuhan flu because he couldn't stop touching his face. RIP.
I caught a brief glimpse of this show yesterday and Happy Days was the first thing that came to mind. Remember how it was a show set in the 50's but after a couple seasons all the characters were sporting feathered hair cuts and wearing suspiciously 70's-style clothing? That's exactly what I saw here. The mom character had an awful wig on and lots of makeup, but beyond that everyone appeared to be straight out of 2020.
So you're admittedly describing something that happened a few years later and yet you won't concede that you've got your facts wrong? There was already a strong community around KKIII well before 2010. Hell, it was the summer of 2007 when a dozen of us did a coordinated watch-along and live comment thread.
