How woke is this?

shareI haven't seen it yet, but isn't it about a girl getting her first period? I mean do Hollywood movies have to explain the female biological aspect of puberty to kids instead of their parents taking on that responsibility.
shareYIKES.
shareIt is not about her getting her first period. The story is a very heavy handed metaphor for a girl getting her first period.
Wut?
shareThe Panda Curse, hit at about the age of puberty, the girl was just getting into having crushes on boys, the transformation was into a RED panda, the transformation cause her to smell bad, the transformation caused her to grow hair, the transformation caused her to become seen as a woman of her family, the transformation caused the women of her family to band together, blah, blah, blah. I am sure I am missing some.
shareThe movie is clearly trying to force the panda agenda on our children. They want to turn our kids in to pandas.
shareAnd you're clearly part of the disingenuous army designed to protect corporate interests.
shareIt's true. I am opposed to all red pandas. They are corrupting our children with their fluffiness.
shareIt sounds like a clever way to address the issue for girls whom do not have responsible parent figures to do it. And I'll never see it.
A shame if it pushes a political agenda.
Based on the Wikipedia synopsis, it doesn't sound woke at all. What parts do you think are woke?
shareIt's not just the wokeness, but the underlying message that it sends to young girls. "Hey, you can disseminate pictures of your "panda" for likes and money. It's normal and healthy!" Oh, and becoming a young adult is achieved by dancing provocatively -- especially in defiance of your parents.
