I haven't watched AEW in a year now. What are their TV ratings like?
That's exactly what happens in the book, but I think the movies are typically way better than Fleming's books, so I don't typically agree with sticking too closely to the source material. This movie seems to get lamer with every year and every viewing. I was a huge fan in 2006, but it's in the bottom half of my rankings now.
Anyone else, really.
I don't know anything about the actor or Dune, but I assumed he was an Arab when I watched the trailer. I don't see the problem with his casting.
All of the Craig films have zero rewatchability. That is true for any series that is a 'saga' that forces you to watch multiple episodes before the story wraps up. All of the other Bond films can be watched over and over again. I have seen The Living Daylights probably more than 50 times and I enjoy it the same each time.
Re-shoots incoming.
This was obviously going to be delayed again. The film was not ready for release regardless of whether a pandemic happened or not.
The good news is that I simply don't care enough anymore. I don't even think I will waste the time to download this on pirate bay when it eventually comes out.
You need to see what Daniel Craig can do with his little finger.
The whole point of the Craig era is that these films are now supposed to be "realistic." They're not, and they are a monumental failure for that reason alone.
This again...
The sweater he's wearing is an odd choice.
Looks generic and boring.
And speaking of fake martial arts, Daniel Craig is the worst offender in the movie industry for this. He would get dropped on his back and have his face smashed in if he tried fighting someone like that for real.
It's all fake martial arts. The only real martial arts that a woman could realistically use to defend herself against an untrained attacker are Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which unfortunately do not look exciting on a movie screen. Even in that case, those martial arts would merely provide survival opportunities, not kicking ass like this bitch is.
The new trailer shows some specific things that we hadn't seen before, and it's very similar. A lot of the locations, set pieces, stunts, and just the general aesthetic looks very similar. The plot also seems very similar. There's something about nuclear bombs and someone who wants to use them to "kill millions," there's some underwater submarine scene with an explosion and Bond swimming away from it, and Saffin looks the same as Renard.
This is a misnomer. People can't be experienced in something without first having an opportunity to get experience. So how is he ever supposed to be an "experienced" coach if he isn't given an opportunity to coach? He isn't "inexperienced" anyways. He was on the Warrior's coaching staff during an era in which they won two championships. It seems that the Nets realize he is primed to move on to a head coaching role now, and I would bet that he will be very successful.
I made a thread a long time ago saying that the 90 pound martial arts woman would end up being more hated than "black woman Bond" Lashana, and I still believe it.
The new trailer confirmed that there is even more of the 90 pound martial arts woman doing fake martial arts than we originally thought.
Who?
In the Living Daylights, they literally had two planes up in the air, one for filming and one for the stunt, two stuntmen hanging off a net with concealed parachutes, and emergency skydivers on board in case a stuntman fell from the netting and was unable to pull his chute. That's all real stunt work that gets no credit. The Craig fanboys just love their CGI, just like they love their fake plastic excuse of a James Bond actor.
I also forgot to say that the Bond theme music is so out of place in the trailer. When it starts playing, the film just seems like a parody or a cheap imitation of a Bond film. There's nothing "Bond" about it, so the music just sounds so wrong.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, this trailer is just awful. Some of the action looks okay, but even the worst Bond films have some great action scenes in them. I also get the suspicion that the film has been re-cut to get rid of the pandemic storyline and replace it with some generic nuclear plot. In fact, the film looks almost identical to TWINE. The set pieces, locations, special effects and everything looks identical in some clips. TWINE is one of the worst Bond films so I don't think this is a good thing.
