Yeah, I found Vic a more sympathetic character than either Alec or Dave. Good point. “Raiders if the Lost Ark” is another famous example of a movie where the hero doesn’t affect the narrative. Yes, she looked quite butch. She looked it. Her friend looked downright butch. Kahuna did refuse Gidget and send her away but he did so partly because he didn’t completely trust himself and he thought it would be wrong for them to have sex. Gidget, on the other hand, was determined to lose her virginity to Kahuna until some last-minute jitters. She even lamented to her mom the next day that she had failed to do so. Gidget, not yet 17 in the movie, was looking to lose her virginity to Kahuna, a man who looked to be in his late 20s. That seems pretty racy for the 1950s. She had some spastic moves. *shrugs* I didn’t think she was that hot. She mentions that she was surprised to discover that there were many fans of her B-movies in the U.S., but I imagine she would have been warmly remembered and welcomed at Star Trek conventions as well. Trekkies are famously fanatical. Yes, and Spock prevented Kirk from saving Edith Keeler’s life. She might have been the love of his life. They’re just jealous. He and Spock were always cockblocking Kirk. Thanks for sharing. I did not realize she had an extensive film career in Italy. I only knew her from her appearance in the original Star Trek series. She’s a striking beauty — then and now. Was surprised to see, on a recent rewatching of the episode “Mirror, Mirror”, that Nichelle had well-defined abs - to go with everything else. She was the whole package — including a six pack. You don’t see that much on actresses of that generation. They tended to be slim and sometimes curvaceous (especially on TOS) but kind of soft. Barbara Bouchet (Kelinda) was another woman from TOS with good abs. I agree, his performance was a bit stilted. This is not his best work. But he looked and sounded great. I love his deep voice. She did look good. Better than Ava, which is saying something. But he bathrobe was less revealing than her safari garb. <spoiler>Dana Delaney sure is great looking at 68.</spoiler> Indeed. The only actress of her era who gives her a run for her money in this regard, IMO, is Sela Ward. I, for one, feel the world would be a better place had Dana and Marisa’s genes been passed on to future generations. No, but I couldn’t help imagining what it must have looked like if well maintained or new. That boat had a lot of deferred maintenance.
