All bore a strong resemblance to one another. I’m sure Maggie would have been great.
I do remember thinking she had put on weight. She still looked pretty but perhaps not as pretty as she looked without it. I hadn’t heard she’d been called “Fatgirl”, though. That’s cruel.
They do resemble one another. Alicia was prettiest in her teen years and Maggie as an adult.
Totally agree. I thought it was a bizarre choice when I first saw it and still think so now. I can’t think of any reason to write the characters as step-siblings other than to attempt to advance social acceptance for such unions. Perhaps the writer Or one of his or her relations had a thing for a step sibling.
I think his disinterest for Cher, who was throwing herself at him, and interest in Tony Curtis’ slave scenes was supposed to remove any doubt about Christian’s orientation.
With his white beard looks like Santa Claus. It’s hard to believe he is younger than Tom Cruise. It’s increasing that both he an fellow Aussie actor Mel Gibson have become so portly and sport unkempt beards.
But he doesn’t date women his own age in real life either.
Attractive, yes, and pretty on a good day.
Yeah, this movie hasn’t aged well. Even in his enlightened state Nick would be triggering.
Right - forgot about that.
It’s not evident in the picture you link to but for a while she had weird-looking lips which I guess was the result of fillers.
Yep, I thought Ustinov was great and Genn and Lagan very good. Kerr was decent. And I agree that it was not credible that Lydia would fall for a man of Marcus’ low character in the first two-thirds of the movie.
Yeah, his performance was terrible and hammy at times, I thought. He only looked the part.
Must be that physical and mental abuse is a necessary aspect of martial arts training in the HnK universe. And yet it’s evidently necessary to survive that “tough love” development process without losing one’s compassion for the rest of humanity if one is to master the highest techniques and become the successor.
Spoiler: Raoh becomes drunk with power and only belatedly recovers his humanity. Jagi becomes drunk with power but is never humane; he’s just a bad dude. Kenshiro and Toki stay compassionate throughout their lives.
Agreed. Mia obviously still had strong feelings for Brian and remained single all those years, so she was probably carrying a torch for him. Brian should have tried to explain himself earlier.
Or the lilac water for an extra 10 cents?
Ladies love it.
