This was a man who said he wanted to make a universe where Batman gets raped in prison and Superman pulls arms out of sockets. They still gave this creep JL, and wondered why they had to constantly wrestle with his decisions. It's like knowing someone has a long criminal history, but having a kid with them anyway.

Agreed, simply atrocious, not only horribly constructed but also embarrassing to watch, so many cringey scenes you have no choice but to skip through. The first act just kept going and going, christ.
Of the Superman movies, yes. The story is a bit all over the place - moving too fast at some points then slowing to a crawl at others - but it was an attempt to comprehensively adapt the mythos and, importantly, has a sense of heart. It helps that it was constructed by a filmmaker and not a VFX supervisor (Hack Snyder).

I didn't think it was possible for the MCU to have worse scripts, directing and acting than the Thor and Captain Marvel films, yet they really outdid themselves here
