"Riggs!" - Roger Murtaugh
I guess he was good enough to make you call him Grimes instead lol.
Waning Crescent: symbolizes the expulsion of negative energy in your life, getting rid of things you know you don’t need, or those things/people/habits, etc which are harming you.
Waxing Crescent: symbolizes growth and creativity. Real general there, but it carries a broad spectrum. Use your imagination.
The Triple Crescent Moon is linked with the Fates, the three women in Greek and Roman mythology who control fate.
They control the birth, life and death of every person in existence. Each crescent moon represents one of the fates; Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos.
Birth (Clotho)
Life (Lachesis)
Death (Atropos)
That means that you have a lot of room to find your own meaning with this one. It practically encompasses your entire life.
^ I found all of this here: https://daphneshadows.wordpress.com/2014/05/20/celtic-moon-symbolism/
I'd rather them have a shock than a wreck. Using them while driving should be where it crosses the line for everyone, but unfortunately it isn't. I'm afraid they may turn out to be one of the more detrimental inventions ever, in the short term, like driving while using them, but also in the long term with human communication. The irony of that isn't lost on me. I would just hate to see face to face communication lose all of its value in society. Of course, those who think AI is just the next step in human evolution would probably think we are right on schedule.
Thanks for all the info and advice. I didn't know any of that.
And when I said I wasn't mentally attracted to her, it wasn't a shot at her intelligence. I don't know anything about her in that way. I just meant the way she acted and her body language, but maybe it was just some anxiety or something. I believe it was on Letterman, the time I remember most vividly. She just seemed like she couldn't stand him and would rather be anywhere else. I just thought that, even if she hated the guy, she could've toughed out an interview, but it may have just been anxiety.
I love that movie. Just the other day, I was comparing something to the "you had like the whole desert to drive in, Lyn" moment. So, that comparison in definitely encouraging.
Are you sure it was a dream, and not "Deja Vu"?
*waves to the crowd*
Thank you. Thank you. I'm here all week, every week.
Wow, full on reproduction. I respect a man who means business. Though, I'm not sure how she would feel about you after your opinion of her work.
Charlie, thanks for discussing intelligently and respectfully. So often with actors/actresses and fans it becomes a nasty-fest.
Absolutely. Yeah, it sure does. I'm not one of those people that hate for sport. I just try to be 100% honest with my opinions regarding the film industry, even if they aren't very popular.
I almost watched "American Ultra" when it came out, not really knowing anything about it. It was one of those movies that I would strongly consider, but would always end up choosing something else. Having now read the synopsis, it sounds almost like "Pineapple Express" meets "The Bourne Identity". Sounds fun.
Whether it's an actor, director, producer etc., I don't really factor in any personal life business into my feelings towards a film. I'm not going to all of a sudden not like a film that I always have enjoyed just because it came out under Weinstein. It's not that I don't care. I just feel like the efforts of many, many different people go into each and every film, and those efforts shouldn't all of a sudden be worthless just because some other person made some mistakes in life.
Haha, I've noticed the extra wide range of "Similar Movies" on all movie sites. Sometimes I think they must've had the same caterer or something.
Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking too. Jesus was probably just trying to be agreeable at the time due to Maggie's emotional state. I did think Daryl and Maggie were serious though. Sure, it'll probably turn out to be the ol' classic Walking Dead bait and switch "dumpster moment" to keep people talking, but Maggie and Daryl certainly have the best reasons to go against Rick & Co.'s wishes. If I were in Rick's shoes, I could try to forgive and find peace. If I were in Maggies, there's absolutely no way in hell I would even consider peace. That's why I liked it and found it realistic. When I look through Rick's and Maggie's points of view, I feel two different ways.
Well, she's got great fans. No doubt about that. I'm going to do you guys (and her) justice and watch more of her stuff. I'll report back what I think, in case you might be interested. If I see greatness, I'm open-minded enough to be converted.
Yes, Trump won. "I" won. I won. Yes.
ROFL YOU won? I have never seen a sentence more perfectly capture the delusion that, unfortunately, so many Americans have in regards to politics. No one cares about you. Trump certainly doesn't care about you. You are not really on the "team". You didn't win shit. Had Hilary won, your life would be absolutely no different than it is now, the same way there was little to no difference in life between Bush and Obama. The whole red vs blue thing doesn't even exist. They are a team, and we are a team. The whole Republican vs Democrat thing is just a game they created to keep us divided and arguing (just like everyone does in all of these threads). The more divided we are, the easier it is for them to dominate and rule.
I know all of this is falling on deaf ears, of course. Brainwashing is a helluva drug. Powerful.
But he was on Oprah and was an "Audience Member" on "The Apprentice"...
Goddamn ridiculous. Who's next, Trump's second cousin? Ricky Trump, an insurance salesman from Delaware. He watched a couple episodes of "Friends" back in the day. Get that man the film and television respect he deserves!
The cell phone is king.
That says it all. There may be many people who can use a smartphone and still be a decent human being, but I can assure you, there are many, many more who cannot. Good thing the phone is so smart, because it turns idiots into absolutely worthless morons who can't even look up and make eye contact.
I'm on issue #6 right now, so obviously nowhere near all of this. I look forward to it though.
Great answer, I appreciate it. You took the time to name instances where I can literally go to see your point. I can tell you're a real fan.
I saw "Speak" and remember telling my girlfriend that it was the best thing I had ever seen her in. I had no idea she was 13, that's impressive.
I've never heard of "The Safety of Objects", but I have always really liked Clarkson and Olyphant, so I'll definitely check it out. I did see "Panic Room" back when it came out. I honestly don't remember it well and have been thinking about watching it again. This gives me another reason to do so. I didn't remember who played Foster's daughter.
I've also never heard of "The Cake Eaters". It looks promising though. I'll definitely watch it.
Again, just once with "Into the Wild". Loved the movie. I was so focused on Hirsch that I don't remember her in it. Another one due for a re-watch.
I wasn't big on "Adventureland", but that could just be my thing with Jesse Eisenberg. I loved him in "Roger Dodger" and "The Squid and the Whale", but after that he just stopped clicking with me for some reason. I guess she was fine in it though, as I remember. I did like "Still Alice". I don't remember being "blown away" by anyone in it, but I do remember liking Moore, as usual. Stewart's role would have been a tough one to play. Haven't seen the others either.
I actually thought the first "Twilight" was decent for that type of genre. I remember not feeling the same after seeing the second one lol. I stopped after it.
Her attractiveness is subjective, of course. I'm not some fool who's going to argue who YOU should find attractive lol. Haven't heard of those either, but I'll research 'em.
"The Safety of Objects" is definitely coming first, followed by "Panic Room" and "The Cake Eaters". I'll really pay attention to her performances. You didn't waste your time giving an intelligent answer. They are getting so rare, I genuinely appreciate it.
I think the scene with Eugene, Negan, and the test pistol & "rick" dummy was supposed to show us that Negan now had ultimate trust in Eugene. Eugene sold it to him very well with the "more of a need to" line. Negan says something like, "Well, look at you..." looking genuinely impressed while putting his hand on Eugene's shoulder. You're right though. I would test a few from every single container, if manpower/time allowed.
I don't know if it's feminism or fucking directors, but I have always wondered what everyone sees in her. I don't see much talent. I, personally, don't find her attractive physically or mentally (from what I've seen in interviews).
For those who do like her - do you see talent, or just find her attractive, or both?
That's all that was in Judith's letter, post-apocalyptic hair care tips and tricks.
