I didn't see him as a rapist. Mercy was not innocent, she was looking for a good time, even followed them. When Ajax caught her she even commented that she was looking for some action and he just said "I will give it to you baby". As far as the police officer, I do think she set him up a little "you want to show me how you play with the chicks" and I know other posters felt it was entrapment.
Ajax was definitely not the brightest, but there was still something likable about him not taking any crap and you could see a playful side to him on the train. Plus he was handsome and sexy too.
Or just take off their vests and put on some T-Shirts; they would have blended right in. But then the movie would have been over in 15 minutes.
It always seems like the majority of films do much better outside the US .... look at Tom Cruise movies.
I never had a hard time understanding him in any of his movies. However, his mumbling has been attributed to a birth complication when part of his face was paralyzed due to forceps.
I think it had a strong combination of attractive male & female leads, some action, colorful scenes & good music.
Agree with the other poster. Plus she was with Billy who had grew up in the Battery so he could guide her.
Yes, it was a great entrance how the director had him in the shadows and then slowly lit up the lights on him.
Is it necessary for a movie to stand up to time? I just watched it again and still enjoyed it. Clothes, hairstyles, gadgets, etc. should not detract from the movie.
One of my favorite books when I was younger.
Look at all the people that have fame & fortune that take their lives. You never know what is really going in people's lives.
It changed as I got older. First Johnny, then Soda, then Darrel.
I liked Francis; I wish they had him live and help them in the movie.
This is what happens when they introduce common core math. :)
First, this is from a women's perspective. I think you have to compare them at the same age. Debra was very sexy in The Warriors. https://www.google.com/search?q=debra+van+valkenburgh+image+warriors&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=TCZXCfUzWLe3qM%253A%252CD7660H2Cu4BybM%252C_&usg=__wmkrzSWHj0_SxKUqOIBuGYL-EaA%3D&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj-27GBqd7bAhVC3FMKHQEFAmoQ9QEIPTAB#imgrc=svej3U0DqJj1sM:
I always thought Diane Lane was pretty but I saw her more as the girl next door. I think Debra pulls sexy off better.
Nothing better than a ridiculous, dumb movie when you don't want anything too serious.
I like the movie but I always felt it never did enough character development. Arnie in my opinion never seemed to be very likable in the movie. It would have been great to see why Dennis and him were such good friends that Dennis was willing to risk his life for him. Plus there were a lot of guys going after Leigh, why did she select Arnie? It doesn't seem like she would date him just because of his car, in particular since she hated the car.
Agree with above poster. Also bullies tend to go after weaker people; Dennis was not the type to take anyone's crap.
I think that would be hard. It is difficult enough for an actor that has been in a sitcom for a while to not be associated with that role. To do this for an entire ensemble without thinking of their old characters imo would be hard. Not sure how old you are, however, I remember when they took out the lead in Valerie (Valerie Harper) and went on without her as the Hogan Family.
Disagree. That one pivotal moment resulted in a lot of positive things happening.
Oh yeah! It was not as dramatic but I was around 14 and I told the hairdresser I wanted a trim. He cut off 10+ inches of my hair and I was sitting in the chair tears running down my face. My Mom was with me and she is NEVER outspoken. It was probably the only time in my life that I remember her speaking her mind. He was so arrogant ... I remember him saying something that my hair was dry and he needed to cut more. Yeah ... not sure decision. If that client wants a trim, respect her opinion.
