He was a seasoned soldier familiar with rifles and some other weapons. As far as I know, many soldiers, then and now, are not trained much on pistols. They are of limited value on the battle field. I'm sure none of the Easy Company infantry were trained on Lugers.
I read the book Ambrose wrote that this series was based upon. When he asked the surviving members of Easy Company if they were trained well because of or in spite of Sobel's actions, they replied (according to the author) "because of" or "
because of and in spite of" Sobel's actions.

Chauvin continued to kneel on Floyd's back even after they could not find a pulse. How does a person with no pulse resist arrest? If Chauvin's lawyer had been able to explain this, then Chauvin might have been found not guilty.

For the rest of us, when the police arrest/handcuff a person, they are responsible for their safety and well-being. That is why normal people think it is bad to continue to kneel on a perp's back even after they can't find a pulse.

I think you need to broaden your view on what the media actually is. There is plenty of media that think Owens of out of her mind.

If you want the country to make a bigger deal about the white people murdered by the police, then you need to be marching in the street. If you're not marching, then you're part of the problem.
I think some people are just getting their fill of law enforcement needlessly killing people. Where do you draw the line?
It is not often that a police officer will slowly torture a person to death as they lay in the street while they are being recorded on video.
Did you think Floyd's death would just blow over? I'm fairly certain that Chauvin thought he was getting a raw deal for continuing to kneel on the corpse of a person he just killed.

The 2nd Foundation and Gaia are making adjustments, so it doesn't really matter.
The Foundation, Robot and Empire novels are all connected. They hosed up I, Robot and the Bicentennial Man. Better if they got remade and actually based on the books instead of just using the title to cover other material.
