Republican Sen. Katie Britt has been working to make sure the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency doesn’t hit what she called “life-saving, groundbreaking research at high-achieving institutions,” including her state’s beloved University of Alabama.
Kansas GOP Sen. Jerry Moran is worried that food from heartland farmers would spoil rather than be sent around the world as the U.S. Agency for International Development shutters.
And Idaho GOP Rep. Mike Simpson warns national parks could be impaired by cutbacks at the start of summer hiring in preparation for the onslaught of visitors.
“We need to have a conversation with DOGE and the administration about exactly what they’ve done here,” said Simpson, a seasoned lawmaker who sits on the powerful Appropriations Committee. “It’s a concern to all of us.”
These people are so stupid. Why did they think Trump would not come after them? The Leopard Eating People's Faces Party does not care who it eats. Do not vote for them.

Trump has been able to avoid some IRS auditing. There is a bill in the House that would make it mandatory for presidents. Guess who is opposed to it; the GOP of course.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House took action Thursday after disclosures that the IRS never fully reviewed Donald Trump’s tax returns during his presidency, passing a bill that would require audits of any president’s income tax filings. The legislation would turn what had been a long-standing post-Watergate norm into established federal policy.
The Democrat-led measure provides a capstone to a yearslong investigation of Trump’s tenure as the first president in recent history not to disclose his tax returns to the public. The legislation faced staunch opposition from Republicans and has little chance of becoming law in the final days of this Congress. But it is seen as a starting point for future efforts to bolster oversight of the presidency.
No, Trump is opposed to real exercise.
I am curious. I'm also curious as to when Musk will show any proof that he has uncovered any fraud or waste.
I suspect this is mostly a smoke screen in his attempt at taking our personal data. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/elon-musks-doge-asks-access-irs-taxpayer-data/story?id=118883475
And Trump wanted them gone. That is what matters.
What is your answer to that?
They don't want the border secured. That would interfere with their supply of cheap and easy to exploit labor. The ICE deportations are just window dressing.
I already brought this topic up here. https://moviechat.org/nm0874339/Donald-Trump/67b0594f600724056938690d/Trump-endangers-USA-with-National-Nuclear-Security-Administration-firings
I'm called mentally ill for being concerned about Trump's overly casual attitude towards nuclear safety.
