Kingswood's Replies

I'm pretty sure that's not accurate ...or there would be no limit to his greenness or bigness. Plus, in the comics, he doesn't just grow to 10' or 20' feet when he's losing to a bigger opponent. He simply gets more angry. Speaking of the green guy, is it just me or does he look about 9-10 feet tall in the trailer, where they're charging into battle? *Officially he's only supposed to be 7'-7.5' tall. I'll stand pat with my predictions on Rorikon's thread from a couple weeks ago... I don't think Black Panther's profits have truly been measured yet since it's still in it's theater run.
IMO I think the tipping point or point where Marvel Studios could lose some audiences is PHASE 5(after 2022)... This will be the point where Marvel Studios reboots both The Fantastic Four and X-Men and Fits them into the MCU...
Is it confirmed that Marvel Studios is getting control of the FF and XM after 2022? She's still premium-GILF.
I look at Black Panther as more of an anomaly than a peak. In addition to being a great superhero film, it has also captured the current diversity movement, and it spoke to a whole segment of society that has been ignored. That allowed it to tap a market heretofore untapped by superhero films.
FilmBuff pretty much nailed, but I'd also point out that there is another minority film to be released in the near future... Captain Marvel, and that should continue to tap into the same market breach that WW tapped into. Then you have the potential for the cosmic (pseudo sci-fi) niche that should continue to expand via the GotG spin-offs. Hell, you may even finally see Disney/Marvel wrest control of the FF franchise and that would really be a boon for them. Combine that along with all the other rich story-lines that FilmBuff mentioned (for example the super-natural that Doctor Strange could begin delving into) and Marvel ain't gonna start declining anytime soon. Makes sense ...and with that in mind the new Avengers storyline (post-IW/IG), i.e. continuation to tie them all together, will most likely be something centered around a Skrull invasion. Just a hunch. Damn I hope Marvel gains control over the FF franchise soon.
what is this movie going to lead into?
I believe they are still planning an IW-2, or was that officially scrapped? If no IW-2, then this will be the climatic battle of Phase Three, with GothG3 probably becoming the designated "epilogue" of the phase. Which means Ant-Man/Wasp, Captain Marvel, BP-2, SHC-2 and future movies will not be direct continuations of the Avengers story-line. Apparently, Feige has indicated that Marvel may abandon the phase grouping after the conclusion of Phase Three.
which means, It Got to be GREAT, Word of mouth has to be excellent...
I feel strongly that it will. This will be at 'Marvel's: The Avengers' level (due to all the characters having an appearance) plus a Thanos finally arrives kicker. True, 'Age of Ultron' was disappointing and didn't get the holds/word of mouth as M:TA, but that was an outlier. This one will be different, you can just tell. I know nothing is guaranteed, but my confidence is high for massive success for IW. Thanos finally making his appearance will draw them in big time...it's gonna be like reincarnating Darth Vader and bringing him back to the Star Wars saga. Reflecting on it, I actually feel my estimates are fairly conservative at the moment. No idea on "total" opening weekend, since I'm not sure which countries that includes ...can you help me out? Domestic opening weekend: ~ $215,000,000 * *extra impressive since this won't be a 4-day holiday weekend like BP had to work with Total worldwide: ~ $,1,825,000,000 Total domestic: ~ $705,000,000 Yes ...and quite handily.
in order to be profitable they need to have about 1/2 the world's entire population buying tickets
I think your math is off just a tad. 3.8 billion tickets* x ~$10 a ticket = $38 billion Per Mojo, the #1 worldwide grossing movie was Avatar at ~$2,8 billion http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/world/ *current World pop is ~7.6 billion
almost all Marvel movies are still a low quality trash greatly overrated by critics
https://1dcafe.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/stupid_idiots_banner2.jpg I can't find the Yes/No O to click on...? ^this so he should match up well with whatever mensa candidate the dems run out there
